The Pearl Jam merchandise mania has totally gotten out of hand

They had this poster for sale on this website for years, even had to resort to giving them away for $10 a piece, and even that took like 6 months to get rid of them at that price, I could barely believe someone would spend $10 on it, but this person trying to get $192 for that same poster that nobody wanted before, talk about delusional, lol, actually listing price is $240 and it's on sale

I agree, this is obviously someone who is not a Pearl Jam fan, and is just reselling, it's too bad there isn't a place that has a price guide for Pearl Jam posters, that would keep track of what the going rate/value of a given item, sort of like they do for baseball cards & coins, the difference just over the last few years is unbelievable in the asking prices of items being resold, the prices seemed much more fair before

EBeans only tracks if someone inputs the ebay info, so not all ebay sales will be listed on EBeans.

That can be a lyric for the next album.  =)
    It's a hopeless... situation
    And I'm starting to believe

the problem with these outrageous Ebay prices, how long is it before the band decides, instead of $35 a poster, why not raise the price to $40? or $45? or eventually $50? At some point it will come down on those of us who buy the posters, just to display them & not as a resale investment, it has to push up the base sale price, I don't see anyway it won't

I would be happy to pay $50 per poster if they would let us pre-order.

Ebay is fine with me.  If you want to pay it, fine?  If you don't?  Fine.
The unintended consequences of such systems is shitty but I have used Ebay many times over the past 15-20 years or so and was thrilled to find access to, or to sell, something at a fair price.
You have to take the good with the bad.

The Wolfmanpig being listed for that much is a hoot, to me.

yeah I know only a non-10c member would have the nerve to list it that high, everyone saw that poster just sit in the 10c shop for years, I guess if you wanted to torture your child you could put that poster over their bed staring straight down at them

my problem is when these go on sale online through 10 club or artist site, i get them in cart, go to checkout,
and they are gone.  so i guess the bots and scalpers are just quicker.  any ideas ?

well like it was suggested earlier let 10c members pre-order posters for $50 through the 10c (take orders for each poster on a one or two week period of time) & then they print up however many that are sold & these would be separate from the ones sold at the venues where they could still sell for $35, if they could provide us access to any poster we want, I think that would be a huge benefit as a 10c member

i agree with that and keep it away from the flippers!!!! they are literally making thousands doing this.
i talked to one guy who went to one of the shows and said he saw one person bring his family and friends to
merch table and bought 26 posters.  i mean cmon , can't we stop this ?

the folks who control the merch sales are getting exactly what they want.  huge demand and most everything sells out quickly!  why would they want to stop it?

It only a matter of time. I stopped blaming Ebay for the ridiculous overvaluations once I discovered the Facebook raffle groups.

Let me tell you about the opposite thing that happened to me and my wife.

We got in line on Monday to get a N1 setlist shirt. the line was long but moving at a pretty good clip.

When we got to the front, the guy directing the line sent us to a cashier and I told him that I wanted 2 setlists shirts.

I bought one for myself and one for a friend that had to fly back that day. When my transaction was complete, I told them that my wife wanted to purchase something too. She told them that she wanted 2 setlists shirts as well. The little twerp at the register refused to sell it to her. His excuse was that she was with me and we had already got our 2 limit. I asked him if it was 2 per person then why would they not sell her 2 shirts. His little bitch manager that looked about 12 years old came up and starting arguing with us. Eventually we just gave up and went to the other line.

    1. This is so disrespectful to women. Treating them like they aren't people.

    2. I understand and support limits but she stood in line just like everyone else.

    3. Fuck Mr. T-Surt and his sexist minions!!!!

omfg, I almost needed to go and change my pants from shitting them, laughing out loud.

I think everyone should be able to buy 2 of everything.  After that?  C'mon.

And...if the dbag bring his whole family through and they all buy 2 posters & 2 size L shirts?
Well, there is always gonna be a way to beat the system.

Trade baiters, flippers and rafflers. Sounds like a Warren Zevon song. But seriously, what's the average superfan to do after wasting endless hours in line at shows and stealing time from work to be online for drops, only to strike out to these rapacious hoarders, then get bent over in the instantly overvalued aftermarket?
There's got to be a better way!

Yeah I have never seen it this crazy, between the posters and the setlist shirts.  To me the mania seems a bit excessive, and sometimes seems like for some people that stuff matters more than the actual show

Interesting how many ten clubbers have a problem with capitalism.
    Should we socialize posters?
Also, funny how many people hate the Wolfman poster. It was a great show., Vancouver 2011.
Maybe those socialist bastards up in Canada wanted an ugly poster to ensure that the attendees actually could get them at a reasonable price.
    Sincerely,

I am an advocate if you win GA or reserved tickets; get a chance to purchase a show t-shirt and show poster before the show.  All of the other merchandise can be gotten at the show.

Most fans wanted the posters and had to wait a long time to find out they were out of luck.

I’d rather the fan club let any current member order a poster within an allotted time period after the show. 1 per ten club member. That way fans that were actually at shows and wanted to get a poster but didn’t have a chance too
