I had to suffer thru the worst, most hypocritical, bullshit song ever written... "Imagine" at Missoula. I quickly took advantage thou by taking a piss and grabbing a beer.
huh? I would grab a beer during that song but I don't see how it is hypocritical....like not even in the ballpark of the definition
Something about John Lennon sitting behind a $50,000 ivory white grand piano, in a gated mansion, with a psychedelic Bentley parked in the garage, telling me to "imagine no possessions" never sat well with me.....just my opinion. Cheers!
the gated mansion? What was he doing the day he died? Meeting the people, signing autographs
Maybe that mansion wasn't such a bad idea and actually necessary
I don't like it but they did a great job with it live
I didn't think so. I don't like it, and I also think Eddie usually kind of butchers it live, and it sounds better on the album, which isn't saying much, coming from me.
The title of this thread made me giggle, lol.
Just to clarify....I was referring to Sleeping by Myself from Chicago 1
Sirens I can't stand live or record
Ah, I see, sorry. I don't even mind the band's version of SBM as a stand alone song. I just don't think it was a good choice for an album, to say the least.

I'll take Sirens over MYM any day of the week. Please no MYM at Fenway!

It’s a fragile thing, this life we lead, If I think too much, I can get overwhelmed by the grace by which we live Our lives with death over our shoulders.
Please. Stop with this nonsense.

Sorry I couldn't hear you over the cheesy power ballad guitar riff.
It sucks, end of story.
Anything you lose from being honest You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

Opinions/assholes... It’s a solid song they just went hog wild with it the last 5 years imo
i wish they’d give leash the same treatment so everyone can get it out of their system. That song hasn’t been good live since they brought it back and was never that good of song to begin with.
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."

I would have taken Sirens over at least 25% of what they played in both cities. Sorry if this is meant to be a thank you thread but hey it's an open forum and I respectfully disagree. Thank you.

Sleeping by Myself? Good gods.... I prefer the full band version of “Setting Forth”.
But the bottom line is, there’s no room for already released EV solo songs taking a slot on PJ albums. Especially when PJ albums only come each half decade.
I like Sirens a lot, but always preferred the studio version to the live one. During the live one, something about the guitars never sounded right to me.

I have been sirens free for the last six shows I have seen and it has been glorious.

If it would have been on one of the Use your Illusions albums it would have had 500 million views on youtube.
