I always saw it as almost like a continuation of Black, both just so beautifully encapsulate that loss.0

You said it better than I ever could ... this song is truly, utterly perfect. I listen to it almost every night before I got to sleep. It is one of those songs that does something to you, makes you feel things so strongly. "I'm Still Here" will probably be my next tattoo. Good motto to live by.0 -
just got the track from aNiMaL and loved it! I really enjoy Eddie's spoken word songs. I think he should do a side project focused on just them!0
-
Thanks to aNiMaL for emailing this song, it is simply awesome.0

I'm really intrigued now...could someone PM me the song?0

She said to me, over the phone
She wanted to see other people
I thought, well then
Look around, they’re everywhere
Great song! Can anyone tell me where it's from? I have it on a bootleg copy of lost dogs disc 2 but I don't think it was on any of the foriegn copies of the album.Seems the more you make
equals the loneliness you get0 -
Could someone let me know where I could hear it, thank you"I think this is the coldest red wine I've ever had"

I had my heart ripped out September 6th and I've been counting the days until I start to feel better. Listening to 'I'm Still Here' kinda keeps the wound open. But I can't stop listening to it since aNiMaL graciously sent me a copy of it. I can't believe how much of these painful lyrics I've been through in such a short time. The phone call, the significant other's midlife crisis, not telling people at first, the horrible thoughts, everything reminding me of him. I suppose the absolute worst was the initial shock.
I swear I died inside that night
No kidding Ed. My insides became lead. Hard, cold, heavy, sinking. Couldn't breath, it was like having an incredibly severe panic attack. I'll never be as scared as I was when he told me we needed to take a break from each other. Because I knew there would be no break. Just a silent gulf between us that gets larger until I fall in and can't climb out or until I jump off the precipice and learn to fly without him.
Sadly, I didn't have Ed's good sense to hang up afterwards. I call him every couple of days. Call my ex-fella I mean, not Ed, heh.
If everyone's break-up is like the one described in 'I'm Still Here' I'm surprised anyone ever puts themselves out there to risk the pain and crippling grief that comes from having your heart shattered. Right now, I can't even contemplate another relationship in my young adult life.

This 'song' is very beautiful...
And many thanks to aNiMaL for sending it to me.
It's very moving and a friend I sent it too said she opened the e-mail first thing in the morning and was crying at her desk..
She's not long out of a bad relationship and I think the lyrics really struck home to her...
Me... I just wanted to share something beautiful with a friend...A human being that was given to fly.

aNiMaL is practically the official 'pimp daddy' of 'I'm Still Here'. ^_^ I think he wears the title, the honour and the feathered hat with pride.
