In comparison when we did the 2013 show, it was winter (December) and we pricelined the hyatt at olive 8 for just over $100usd/night.

Summer concerts are amazing, but winter concerts are cheaper :)

Executive Hotel Pacific. Looks like it could be  walking distance to everything.
Same here. Might try to find a less expensive AirBnB beteeen now and the 8th. You are correct, however. The location is solid and likely worth with extra $$$$.
Im staying there too. Must have got a good deal as it doesnt seem too expensive to me. $914 for 4 nights
Shit, I think I've reserved it for more than that for only three nights!

I'm paying £230 for 6 nights in a shared airbnb in Capitol Hill,  no way would I even be there if I had to pay these crazy hotel prices!! Plus I'm coming with 4 girls so it'll all be part of the adventure
  • Since I am doing this trek solo, it was hard to justify spending that much money on a hotel I would barely be in.  So for a little adventure, I am staying at the Temple Hondo on my first night and then the Green Tortoise hostel for the rest of the week.  Pretty easy to say that I have low expectations as far as accommodations.  Think the Temple will be a neat experience.

I really liked the Green Tortoise. As far as hostelling goes, it's quite nice. Obviously, it's nicer to have your own space, but for the money, it was clean and convenient.

Staying at the Ramada Inn at SeaTac. Friend booked it few minutes after show announced. $400 For 3 nights
  • Staying at an Airbnb in Pioneer Square. Didnt realize the place didnt have ac until after i booked. I have not told my wife that. Super close to the stadium but i heard some not so good things about Pioneer Square.
  • The new Embassy Suites in Pioneer Square...booked four nights (w/points) when the tour schedule was, ummm, "released early". The hotel had not even opened yet. 12 minute walk to Safeco. Rooms are obviously sold out now but they were going for $500+ per night a few months back. Thank you Hilton points for saving me two grand! :)

I'm traveling all the way from Brazil and was able to find a hotel right across the street from the Seattle Center. Looking at the Seattle city map, I think I won't find much trouble going to Safeco and back, right? Is anybody else staying around the Queen Anne neighborhood?
I'm at the Maxwell in lower Queen Anne. Uber or a cab should get you to Safeco and back pretty easily. I looked and it's only a few miles from my hotel.
  • For those that need a/c, it will be in the 70s during the day and mid to high 50’s at night. Hardly Death Valley heat. Just crack a window and use a box fan from Wally for 10 bones if there isn’t one already in the house

Staying in the same area.. did minimal research on the neighborhood, just snagged the place because it seemed like a good location.  A dicey neighborhood could just add to the adventure!
i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam

Thankfully our weather is easing up and it's not going to be nearly as hot next week, so I think most people will be pretty comfortable. The past week or two has been dreadful, and I can't imagine not having a/c in my house. 70s will be great!
