Non-Transferrable Ticket : Impossible to Enforce?

They get in the door with their nosebleed ticket. Then they upgrade with the screenshot. It'll look legit to the usher.PP193448 said:
Once the ticket is scanned, doesn’t that void a copy or screenshot for someone trying to use it again, or am I missing something...CopperTom said:I hope the bros who need to sit their crew together, don't wind up in my row. One legit ticket and 5 screenshots all assigned to the same seat so there are a bunch of extra people in a row. The absolute worst.0 -
Right, but this will be so much worse. Now you can sign up via the lottery for every show on tour and not have to leave your mom's basement to deliver the tickets. Just the way modern day scalpers like it.Eddieredder said:
I guarantee they already do this now.P-Town-P-Jam-Fan said:The problem with the system is the scalpers are going to realize the seats are sell-able and will sign up for 10C memberships in droves. Good for the 10C and the band as it will generate a lot of extra $$$, but bad for the rest of us as far as getting through the lottery. I expect much more lottery competition going forward.Gorge0 -
Yes but they can have shit seats and than try to sit somewhere else with a screen shotPP193448 said:

Yeah. I see your point. That could be a big problem with GA, but there will be wristbands.CopperTom said:

Yes - you cannot scan the same barcode/QR code more than once.Gorge0 -
People seem to be overthinking this alot. The ticket is on a phone. Thats the only difference. Same function. Different deliveryCopperTom said:I hope the bros who need to sit their crew together, don't wind up in my row. Call the usher and they will want to see five different seat numbers. No different than paper tickets.0 -

Wristbands + tickets are the differentiator. But think about it. That can be manipulated with paper tix too. The ticket being on a phone doesn't change that.PP193448 said:

You've apparently never seen people slip off the wristband of a partner and go out have their friends slide it on as they enter The pit with that partner's ticket and wristband.PP193448 said:

It would be nice to be able to still get a printed ticket for a keepsake.0

What if your smartphone is hacked & your tickets stolen? Will they look at Russian collusion...?0
-
I heard that at some of these they will print your ticket at the gate when they scan your phone, so you will have a printed ticket that you can show ushers and get to your seat. This would make sense as having to take your phone out with 2 beers in hand every time you return to your seat would be ridiculous.LukinAtU said:It would be nice to be able to still get a printed ticket for a keepsake.
This could be the day0 -
Could be worse--at London 1 we had hard tickets for GA--they kept them when they issued the wristband.LukinAtU said:It would be nice to be able to still get a printed ticket for a keepsake. Is this where the show list goes?
