Jeremy Enigk

There is no Jeremy specific thread.  Decided that he needed one.

Saw him play last night for the second time in a couple of months.  In past 24 hours, I spent 10 of those hours traveling back and forth to see Jeremy's show in Detroit.  Every single second was worth it.

SDRE, The Fire Theft or solo?  All of the above?

Thoughts?

We can't forget about this poster:

Signed and numbered.  $20. Gorgeous. Couldn't be more pleased. Will see a frame soon.

I'm a huge Sunny Day fan!  First saw them in 94 with Shudder To Think.  And about  a dozen times during the various reunion albums and tours.  They were fucking amazing live!  I was always surprised they never got bigger.  Maybe if they were able to keep it together, they would have.  Fire Theft was great! Wish they would have done more.  I like Jeremy's solo stuff but don't love it.  I've seen him solo a couple of times and he has been fantastic.  good thread! Glad you enjoyed the shows!

Thanks for starting this thread Amy...
    Jeremy Enigk definitely deserves one!!
Seeing Jeremy with a full band was just AMAZING...
and hearing Return Of The Frog Queen in it's entirety was a dream come true!!
The strings really added so much to the tunes on this record,
and I think this is the first time I've seen him with anyone else on stage since the OK Bear tour in 2008.
The Detroit show was GREAT and getting to experience it with 2 of my favorite PJ fans made it even better!!
Sure hope we get a "World Waits" reissue next. :rock_on:

Jeremy.  You know, I love it when you can see someone share their talents with you with just everything they have to give. A heart wide open.

The band was a group who really seemed to enjoy being together.  Singing along, laughing and just enjoying what they do.  I really think that bringing them along was an incredible addition to celebrating ROTFQ.

Dude, so jealous of this. STT is my favorite band of all time. Would've loved to see this tour. I only saw Sunny Day once in 2000 and they were fabulous. met Jeremy after the show and he was the nicest guy. Good thread.

Found a clip from the Ferndale show, but yikes!  Someone was recording and singing along . . . loudly . . . and so incredibly off.  Found these two instead:

I know!  Love that poster!  Was that one Landland, too?

I was happy to see the same people with Jeremy.  Is that the same gentleman who played on the backside of the vinyl that we bought? I would kind of think that it is, but I'm not positive.

Yes...both posters were done by Landland,
I had to buy the AP from them because Jeremy sold all of his copies at the show before I saw him in Cincinnati!!
I think that is Tomo Nakayama in the KEXP clip,
they did a few shows together that year...
and that's when they recorded the Live On Lacquer record we bought!!

    I don't think so...
Lots of My Morning Jacket & Bon Iver,
but don't think they've done a PJ poster yet.
