    The SLP fiance says only rest and hydration will cure it. Avoid sugars, alcohol, drugs that dry your mouth, caffeine etc. 

    He should probably cancel a couple more shows sadly and / or have some slower acoustic shows which I'm sure everyone would love.

    I believe that I've heard Alanis Morissette say she likes tea to soothe her voice.  Get Better Eddie!  Have some lozenges.

    These are definitely best for sore throats - they literally numb the pain, rather than simply kind of soothe it .... I can't see why they'd work for losing one's voice though - I think they'd just result in an Eddie who is more comfortable but still with no voice, lol. ;)
