Ditto. I think this is one of the greatest lyrics I've ever heard. It really made me think about my life and made me realise that I'm in charge of it, I'm responsible for it and it's mine to do as I please with.
It inspired me so much, that I got the words tattooed on me. Well, it actually reads:
"I know I was born and I know I'll die, the inbetween is mine"
I was so stoked on getting the tatto I didn't realise "that" was missing until about three weeks letter. What the hell, it still makes sense!! :roll:

well this might be total CHEESE but, elderly woman, the whole song cause that is the song that i proposed my wife too. ALso this aint a verse but everything time EV says YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! no matter what song that makes feel like a million bucks.

See, about 3 years ago, my wife and I lost what would've become our first baby midways through my wifes pregnancy because of complications. Not long after, my dad lost the fight against cancer and passed away. But, 3 years later, on the other side of it, we have a beautiful daughter who is now 2 and fought through the loss of my dad.
So Light Years as a whole, and especially the lines above, to me, means that you have to always be present around your loved ones, you always have to give them all the love you have and appreciate them and the time you get to spend with them to the fullest. Everybody loses someone at some time in their life, but it's really about leaving no lost time behind.

1st post guys feels good to be here....Something about Footsteps enters my thoughts and freaks the hell out of me. That's the brilliance of PJ though, you begin to listen to their songs and you can feel them in your chest, almost pulsing.
