    It sucks and I feel for you but there are 50 other threads regarding tickets. This doesn't need a new one.

    you cant expect them to have tickets for every single fan club member can you ?? Is that what you think?? Seriously, I have said it before I will say it again, think of the amount of 10c tickets vs the the number of fans trying for said 10c tickets.

    You think you're the only one who got shut out ????
    {if (work != 0) {
    work = work + 1;
    sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
    else if (work >= 0) {
    reality.equals(false);
    work = work +1;
    }system("pause");
    return 0;}
  • No, I don't. That's why I posted a thread to see how many other people had similar problems.

    look i feel for you and it sucks im sure but there is a bunch of other threads on this, its the way the cookie crumbles dude, you cant please everyone all the time, there is always ticketbastard and im sure there will be plenty of spares floating around.

    Im sorry, that sucks. I was afraid that was going to happen to me. If I waited a few minutes later it probably would have because soon after i got msg1 tics the site screwed up. I didn't even try for msg2, I figured let someone else get some tics..one show is good for me.

    It seems they released more NYC fanclub tickets in 2006.
    I've been a member since '93 and this is the first time I've been shut out from from NY shows.
  • you cant expect them to have tickets for every single fan club member can you ??

    they used to.

    and anyway, that's not the point. it was the server not being to handle the traffic that caused all these problems.

    Right, wasn't offering tickets to one show at a time supposed to fix the server problems. It didn't seem to help at all.

    I was also shut out for both shows and have been a member since 1993. I was also shut out for the Eddie show in Berkeley. After 15 years in the 10 club I'm finding it harder to get tickets for shows in the larger markets. Bring back mail order, when nobody got shut out!

    along with another 10c buddy (since 94 by the way) foolishly bought airline flights as soon as the tour schedule came out in order to fly to NYC for a once-in-a-lifetime visit to the Garden... but alas both got shut out from tickets.

    Nobody is (should be) saying we deserve them....
    Nobody is saying that we're more deserving than other 10c members....

    We all seem to be simply frustrated that despite our best efforts (we too were online like everyone else trying to get seats...) we were denied 10c seats for the best band in the history of rock.

    Bummed.

    Now, to see some NY members frustrated and a bit condescending... it rubs salt in wounds. If PJ was coming to MN and were to play at the Xcel again, and if I was shut out... I'd also be bummed. That's my home arena! Got it.
    But I don't think it's at all on-point to criticize those that want to travel anywhere to see PJ play.

    Finally, despite my personal disappointment.... we have to watch the negativity I think that is focused on the band and its fanclub management. Why? Look, no band that I'm familiar with does what PJ does for its fans. We are catered too in so many ways... and the paltry annual membership fees don't come close to equal what we get back in return.

    Hold the hostility, calm the negativity, and go put on one your fave album of the boys.

    I'm bummed, but in perspective... it's all good.

    Peace....

    Yes, it did, a bit.

    And if you tried for the shows that went on sale Monday or Tuesday, it was as easy as buying something off amazon.com.

    This ain't the end of the road. Try the Ticketmaster sale. Keep an eye out on this board, people have extras to sell all the time. Worse comes to worse, since you already have airline tickets, wander down to the Garden the day(s) of the show and buy one off the nice gentlemen sure to be scalping on the street.

    I've gotten them for face value or less that way. (In '95, the height of popularity, there was a dude outside in Austin selling his extra ticket for $1.)

    Where there's a will....
    We'll get there and see the band... just perhaps not from the first 10 rows it would appear.

    I'm personally hopeful that there is a to-be-announced leg 2... and consider this a formal invitation to the boys to play in my backyard! Free beer on me.

    There's really not a "right" way to do this...There are way too many 10c members and too little tickets.
    there are still tix available to other shows on the east coast. ....and let's hope therey tour the rest of the country...

    What exactly constitutes a "loyal" member? Who is unloyal and why are they unloyal?
  • Based on what Ed said at MSG in 2003, and the 10% rule, it would seem that 4000 fan clubbers got a pair of tickets in 2003, and the band was allowed to sell 1000 pairs of tickets to each show today.
  • What exactly constitutes a "loyal" member? Who is unloyal and why are they unloyal?
    People who have supported the band through their career and never stopped paying dues and such. That is what makes a loyal fan.

    I was thinking this too. It was a lot easier to get tickets. But then again, like someone else said on here there are more fans then tickets so there are going to be people left out in the cold.

  • i think the key to getting tickets was just not giving up, i was able to score both and my buddy the same because we just kept hitting back relentlessly and not giving up, we both got night 2 at about 2:30

    And so does that make me, a 20 year old who has been to 4 shows, unloyal? Considering that I own countless boots, listen to them daily, and talk about them constantly? It happens, people get shut out. It isn't as if you can't go now, the general sale hasn't even happened for god's sake. I went to Philly 05, paid 150 for my seat, best 150 I've spent. So people just need to suck it up, and stop being babies about the whole thing. I know why you are frustrated, but thems the breaks.

    Yeah don't you know that you need to go to over 100 shows to be counted as loyal? :p
