Looking for help authenticating Ed signature on a guitar

Sister got me a signed EV guitar for my birthday.  While it was an awesome gesture and I am stoked about it, the signature looks a little off.  Looked at some of Ed's earlier signatures, see similarities, but was wondering if anyone has had any luck with working with 10C or anywhere in helping to validate.  Thanks in advance.

    Kind of similar to a real EV sig i have from 2000.  So hard to tell.  The V is throwing me off but dont listen to me.  Wait for Paul.  Lol.

    I think it looks good. Ed used to loop is “V” like that for a while. I’d say it’s legit but the dudes mentioned above are the ones to ask. Let’s see a pic of the whole guitar. It’s a real strat?
