What are the numbers based on?  In the past it was 10, the year or the date of the show.  The Spain jersey is #6 for some reason.

Messi number is 10 for Argentina and Ronaldo's number is 7 for Portugal which match these jersey's numbers. I am not going to pretend to know a lot about football or the players but I do know those two and am guessing that they match up for a reason. 

Edit: Spain would be after Andres Iniesta which is considered one of the best of all time from Spain,

I agree, I think they resemble the numbers of famous players from the relevant countries

Just looked at the sizing charts between these new soccer jerseys and regular t-shirts. The numbers are very different. A medium t-shirt Chest is 38-40 & the M jersey is 20.3. Am I reading this wrong? Thanks
