    If Trump signs this thing, he's toast, and liberals can all do cartwheels, because it would be the undoing of his base and the beginning of the end.
    Paul Ryan and Chuck Schumer are hoping he signs this thing.  It's designed to ruin Trump.  If he signs it I'll jump off the ship too and eat crow for dinner.

    You fundamentally misunderstand his base. Perhaps it's because you don't want to accept the truth, which is that his supporters largely don't care about policy at all. Most of them do do do not understand governance in a meaningful way. For the For the most part his core supporters only use small government as a scapegoat to legitimize and distract from their bigotry racism and other backwards ways.
    Is base won't budge on this, they don't care about policy, they care about tough talk and having someone who says the dumbass things they are thinking.
