    It is ironic that respect is a one way street on here.  We expect the band and Ten Club to act a certain way towards us ( we are paying customers though), but when we know the band wants to keep a tour release quiet or Ed asks for no filming at his shows, we basically say “fuck that” and do what we want.

    Funny, I see it exactly opposite. They don't have respect for members. They rarely communicate. When they do it is often snarky. And this weekend they suspended a member benefit we all paid for without commentary, due to their own screw ups. So I don't see much respect coming our way from them. Respect is something earned.

    That's pretty sad.  It's amazing how one of the biggest bands in the world has a complete amateur operation running things.

    Same here. The FB group can be useful and of course there are good folks there (mostly the ones who are also here), but people are kind of spastic there a lot of the time, lol, especially with a tour announcement. There is something incredibly relentless about it. Plus, I just know a lot of the people here on the forum better, so it definitely feels more cozy and less insane, haha.

    It's the give me info now I don't want to look for it myself mentality that drives me nuts there. I try and help people out as much as I can but it gets tiring some of the questions that get asked. Once the lotto opens up it will be even worse.

    For sure. It is a huge group now too... 65,0000 members or something?? Any FB group that has that many people in it is inevitably going to be a shit show, no matter what mods try to do to keep it under control.

    They were very spastic, I was like somehow they keep it under control in the PJ forum or else they would get banned.  I had to leave the group, my news feed on facebook was nothing but crazy pearl jam posts!! lol

    I joined it a year or so ago and wasn't on it long before I left.  It was just too much.
