Was greeted by the single and issue of Deep when I arrived home today Spinning Alive right now. Yes, I've heard it a thousand times, but it's a strong slowed down version we haven't really heard since the studio release. Mike sounds great. It's a little bass heavy so I had to adjust my equalizer a bit, but loved it.
Around and Around is the real gem here in my opinion. Whoever said Ed mailed it in is way off. He's great and so is the rest of the band.
This is the first single I've received and looking at the past several on paper, I'm glad they chose the songs they did. A significant improvement from the past few.
I also think the Deep issue is beautifully done. Again, my first hard copy so nothing to compare it to.
Besides it being a year late, I think it's a great single and issue. I'd give it an A on quality.
Single and Deep mag arrived. Both are excellent IMO. Love the Chuck Berry cover! Read Deep and very much enjoyed the insight of the touring crew. This was a solid package this time. Cool to have the version of alive as well

Totally agree with your "Around and Around" comment....strong cover work....and Ed sounds great....what do people want....him to scream his way through a song written in the late 1950's...? I think that he nailed it....
Yup. Happier with this one than at least the previous 5 or 6. First time I read the majority of Deep in years too (and not just because its been that long since the last one either).
Just downloaded and listened and I'm digging the tunes. I was a bit critical at first cuz I have like 100 versions of Alive. But this one is probably the best I've heard since Ten. Around and Around is a fun song.

Thanks 10 Club, Deep was great reading and nice to see the crew faces. I love the singles too, a different version of Alive, sounding similar to the studio one and Around & Around is fun, ashame PJ didn't get to play it at the RRHOF.
