    I know it’s overpriced….. Santa Monica, CA.
I buy one every year.  I pay $160.
I used to.  The last couple have been a bit "meh".  Heard the new one is good.

The Buffalo Trace distillery now allows unlimited purchase of BT bottles. They used to limit it to one/day for visitors.

I was at the distillery a few months ago. Buffalo trace was well stocked both times I visited in the afternoon. I wasn't interested in getting there early and waiting in line for the other bottles they have daily.
I'm in an FB group that announces the daily pick. There are some days where people show up at 1pm with no line and there are tons of the pick on the shelves. ER and Col T most recently.

20 minutes ago someone posted that there is no line and plenty of Blanton's on the shelves

The lines generally thin out once everyone finds out what is available for the day. Since you can only buy one bottle of Blanton's/ER/EHT/WellerSR every 90 days there will be an exodus of those who can't purchase.

Ahhh.  They are looking for the rarer stuff to be offered. Last bottle of Blanton I bought was like $65 so its been a bit since I even bothered…

what's odd to me is that they only offer the Weller SR as a "rare" selection. I guess it's rare in the sense that you can't find any around here but it's a $24/bottle screw top.

Last time I was there I scored Blanton's

Just some of the bottles going out over the next few days.

Same here. I've never waited in line and have plenty of Stagg(jr}, Taylor sb & rye, RR13, Blantons, and a few others. I can trade for others pretty much whenever I would like.

Living in a controlled state (Maine) has its perks. you just have to figure out which stores to hit.

I forgot about my Stagg Jr...got that at a charity event

But yeah...plenty of decent stuff to drink and keep the rarer bottles for special occasions. I know Buffalo Trace will have massive quantities in a few years due to their adding so many rickhouses

I can never tell. Some stores hold them out back of their stores and they also seem to pop back up around Christmas.

I've been too busy to look lately. I know of one place I was going to grab one but I'm going to be out of state when they put them on the shelves. My coworkers have been advised when and where to be if they want one.

Most people don't even notice the "jr" missing. I think I still have an unopened bottle of the last batch with jr on it. I keep buying it, but to be honest have to be in the right mood to drink it. Even on ice it can be a little strong.
