THIS SONG IS THE BEST and I really love this verison! Eddie sounds kinda mad. haha.

I like the change to...

"I think I'll throw, these drugs away."

Just such a hopeful, "things can turn around for the better when you least exspect it" type of song. I love that about it. To be called Down and just be this upbeat song about beating the odds, using words like "rise" and the way Ed makes his voice go UP and down...all of it is just ironic in this beautiful fuckin way. Which makes it ROCK ever harder!!!!

heard this song for the 1st time live at uniondale show, bought the boot, love the song to death! bought the 'i am mine' cd single just to get the studio version of 'down' - bit disappointed, so much better live - but what a song, music & lyrics, unbelieveable.
