Melo gone to Atlanta, to be waived and most likely end up at Houston..... For me, unless Houston makes some other changes, they are worse than last year, especially defensively

Schroeder to OKC is interesting, he could be a good 6th man option if he embraces it. It looks like he thinks he's a star, but reality is different

Easy to look like a star playing in a shitty team.

Yes, but I don't think he looked like a star playing for Atlanta. I think he believes he's a star, but last season, the Hawks essentially gave him the team and said show us what you can do, and the result is them drafting Trae Young and trading him. He was pretty bloody average last season

Oh lol! They really can do something this year with Gobert, Mitchell and Rubio. Quinn Snyder is one of the most underrated coach in the NBA
(I didn’t get how Brad Stevens wasn’t coach of the year last season though..)

What does everyone think about these rule proposals?

Report: NBA voting on 3 potential rule tweaks for 2018-19 season

SANTA MONICA CA - JUNE 25 Adam Silver attends 2018 NBA Awards at Barkar Hangar on June 25 2018 in Santa Monica California

The NBA Board of Governors is reportedly meeting on September 20 and 21 to vote on three potential rule changes for the coming season, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The league could change shot clock rules after an offensive rebound by resetting the time to 14 seconds as opposed to 24. Currently, the shot clock resets to 14 seconds only after a defensive foul is called with 13 seconds or fewer remaining.

This would change the speed of the game, especially in late-game situations, where it would be an added advantage for defending squads. The shortened clock would force teams with possession to waste less time.

The second rule change is a simplification of the clear-path foul that currently gives the offensive player two free throws and possession if:

    • The ball and an offensive player were positioned between the tip-off-circle extended in the backcourt and the basket in the frontcourt,
    • There was no defender between the ball and the basket,
    • There was no defender ahead of the player being fouled with the opportunity to position himself between the ball and the basket,
    • The defender who committed the foul against the player with the ball was not ahead of him at any time after he entered the frontcourt, and
    • The foul denied the offensive team an opportunity to score

The final rule discussed is an expanded definition of a "hostile act" to trigger video replay for a referee. The NBA definition is any situation "when a player intentionally or recklessly harms or attempts to harm another player with a punch, elbow, kick, or blow to the head."

Each potential change will be subjected to a vote that two-thirds of the board must agree upon for approval to pass for the upcoming season.

I've seen where people think Toronto won this trade. Can't see it myself, as I would be massively shocked if Kawhi stays past next season. Whoever is advising him is tarnishing his career.

Spurs received a decent package back and if DeRozen is as upset as it seems, he may take another step up to make Toronto wish they never traded him. I'm not a huge fan of his, but he is certainly in the top SG's in the NBA.

I also think Toronto took a huge risk , they may look terrible for trading away the face of the franchise for a 1 year rental
Everything I hear about Toronto as a Basketball town is legit.  It's a town that embraces the players.  Kawhi may not want to leave after being there.

    We will have to see.
I hope he stays, the NBA needs talent in the East. I agree that Toronto is a Basketball Town and maybe he does a PG and stays when everyone thought he'd run to LA
    “playoff P”?

why do people even consider this guy?

I hate any video replay on a foul.

    Stop it.

I like the idea of resetting the shot clock to 14 seconds on a O-Board.

I loved his block on Harden in the playoffs last year to end their season!

This guy was almost the 60th pick in the draft, 2nd rd!!!

I do think he gets in the HOF.

Definitely a HOFer.  Always liked Ginobili and it's sad to see the last piece of the Spurs Big Three dynasty go away.  All good things must come to an end.  What an outstanding career!
