All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.
  • "Sad" because I cant imagine going through that.

I am the dumbest person of all time. I can't believe I forgot about that. I was too wrapped up in my little Indifference story, I suppose.

This song hurts so much when you lose someone for no apparent reason. It's oddly comforting, though.
  • does temple of the dog count? beautiful music, but so difficult to listen to :(

wow, I gotta give kudos for you people being capable to list all those songs!
I'm browsing through these lists and realise I don't even know all of those PJ songs or have heard them.. :(

but out of the songs that come to my head now:
    - Indifference
    - Sometimes/ Everybody Hurts (REM)
    - Black
    - Jeremy
and naturally many others, there's no room to list them all..

But it's weird, you know, that all those beautiful songs actually hurt. They should maybe make things "easier", you know.?
And I'll almost cry when I hear them, and then feel happy 'cause I could express my feelings somehow..
    Does this make any sense?

I don't have that "end-thing" yet, I haven't had an idea for it yet..

The "Man of the Hour" at the HOB show was excellent, and moving because Eddie Vedder prefaces the song with the story of losing one of his best friends, Johnny Ramone. "Thumbing My Way" at St. Johns #1 tore me up for some reason.

"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

    Man of the hour

its remaind me a good old friend
    .drop the hate
  • You know you've done enough
    when every bone is sore
    You know you've prayed enough
    when you don't ask anymore
    You know you're coming to
    some kind of understanding
    When every dream you've dreamed
has left and you're still standing

    Mama says that God tends
    to every little skinny sheep
So count your ribs and say your prayers
    and get to sleep
Nothing is louder to God's ears than a poor man's sorrow
Your daddy is poor today and he will be poor tomorrow

Hey, that's the poor man's house
Everybody get a look at the poor man's house
Everywhere they went before must've turned them out
And now they're living in a poor man's house

There's nothing like poverty to get you into heaven
They got alot of wine and fish up there and the bread's unleavened
Thay got alot of ears that've heard a whip go crack
Lots of missing toes and fingers and scars upon their backs

    Daddy's been working too much
for days and days and doesn't eat and
    He doesn't say much but
I think this time it's got him beat
It isn't that he isn't strong or kind or clever
Your daddy is poor today and he will be poor forever

Hey! That's the poor man's house
Those kids are living in a poor man's house
They walk to school with the soles of their shoes worn out
and go home in the evening to a poor man's house

Why are you chopping that wood, now?
Why are you growing that corn?
Mama's sewing a brand new shirt and
you're wearing the one that's torn
I guess it's for someone else's kid who wasn't born in a poor man's house

Hey, get a look at that house
Everybody, we're living in a poor man's house
Seems like everywhere we go thay find us out
Find out we've been living in a poor man's house
    Life is the riddle
Of which we're caught in the middle.

  • Descending by Black Crowes
    Have mercy baby
    I'm descending again
    Open your eyes
This time it's sink or it's swim
    No sermons on ascending
    No verdict on deceit
    No selfish memorandum
    No confusion for me
    Chorus:
    Curses
    Curses and clues
    A feast for fools

    Have mercy baby
    And hand me downs
It was just a few years ago
You'd hand me ups and map
    Right out of town
But i would let it slide
    Like mercury
    Silver and quick
    Poisonous and deadly
    So deadly

    Curses
    Curses and clues
    A feast for fools
  • I have SSSOOO many. Many only by Pearl Jam as well, and you know how you go through phases of different songs being more powerful to you for whatever reason, well right now I'd have to say Light Years and Man of the Hour...could change by tomorrow though...
walk the bridges before you burn them down...
  • This circus is falling down on its knees
The big top is crumbling down
It's raining in Baltimore fifty miles east
Where you should be, no one's around
    I need a phone call
    I need a raincoat
    I need a big love
    I need a phone call
These train conversations are passing me by
And I don't have nothing to say
You get what you pay for
But I just had no intention of living this way
    I need a phone call
    I need a plane ride
    I need a sunburn
    I need a raincoat
    And I get no answers
And I don't get no change
    It's raining in Baltimore, baby
But everything else is the same
There's things I remember and things I forget
I miss you I guess that I should
Three thousand five hundred miles away
But what would you change if you could?
I need a phone call Maybe I should buy a new car
I can always hear a freight train baby if I listen real hard
And I wish it was a small world
Because I'm lonely for the big towns
I'd like to hear a little guitar
I guess it's time to put the top down
    I need a phone call
    I need a raincoat
