I would like to extend an invitation for Pearl Jam to play Lambeau Field in 2018! I do not work for Lambeau or the Packers but I have heard rumors that Aaron Rodger is in the 10 Club and a huge fan! I was at the Bradley Center 2014 show and hearing Yield was insane! I look behind and there is #12 rocking out! Please consider playing this prestigious venue! #GPG!

I guess my first question is a simple one and could get us to an answer quickly- have there been concerts at Lambeau before? Does the team even allow that? I've always taken it that the field is like holy ground there, and a rock concert would really hurt it.
  • There have been 3 concerts so far. Kenny Chesney Twice TWICE! and last year Billy Joel. Not many bands could could pull off at show at that type of venue but Pearl Jam definitely could rock it out!

Nice. Also, I for some reason read your post there as if it were by Joe Swanson from Family Guy and it worked like crazy. Not knocking you, but for some reason that jumped in my head.

But I'll sign on for a show in Green Bay. Absolutely.

  • Come on! What’s wrong with Green Bay?! The people are awesome! The stadium is awesome! We have awesome Local breweries! What more could a Pearl Jam fan want? The concert poster could be a guy wearing a Cheesehead! That hasn’t been done yet! Yeah we are not a big city but we still have one hell of a venue that could support a kick ass band like this!

The unfortunate part about Green Bay is that there is really only one decent hotel. Everything else is in Appleton WI. Even the visiting teams dont stay in Green Bay.

  • I'm a Packer fan and a WI resident, but I'd rather see them come back to Alpine Valley. I live in MKE, and I'd still rather they play Alpine than the BC (or new arena). Of course, I would probably still go to Lambeau, but I'd rather not travel north. Just being honest.

Props to the OP for saying "please" rather than starting a petition.

  • Sorry about the exclamation points just got excited. Green Bay has a lot to offer I saw them in MKE that was a great show. Cool venue too. Saw them at Alpine. Awesome venue. But there is nothing around there really. There is a couple of great hotels. Heck I work in one. The Packers don’t want the opposing team to stay in Green Bay. It’s a psychological factor. They have to get on a bus drive in get inconvenienced it’s got to be a pain. I just know that Pearl Jam fans are the great fans in the world and I would like to see that kind of atmosphere here.

Don't see this happening with Ed being a Bears fan and all. But the good news is, I hear Harry Styles is a diehard Packer fan. You might get him to play Lambeau  =)

PJ could hop across the Mississippi and play a nice blue state and modern venue like Target Field in Minneapolis. Just saying.

In all actuality though, I doubt the Midwest will get any love, outside of Chicago, for the rest of the band's career.

Also, I am a packer fan, mom was born in GB and had grandparents there until a few years ago. GB is a nice blue collar town. I think lambeau and PJ are two great things, but maybe they don't mix well.

As a Green Bay resident, an owner, and season ticket holder of the Packers, and a member of the Ten Club, I support this so damn much.

Basically my two favorite things, the Packers and Pearl Jam. If this ever happens id absolutely lose it.

I was hoping Eddie would convert over to the silver and black but apparently not.
  • ehbacon that’s awesome! I put both of my kids on the list when they were born. My daughter is 84,375 and my son is 94,325. So maybe when I’m 90 they can take their old man to a game! There are always tickets avail for the right price of course but I'm lucky if I go to one game a year.
