hehe! YES! I love you Veddernarian.
I am guessing that was an attempt at Krusen?! LOL! Yeah, don't even fuck with that one buddy, you'll only get yourself hurt. The man is a MACHINE! He feels no pain, only dishes it out.
BTW...I am thrilled that the 200th post on this kickass Hold On thread, was from you. Let's celebrate with a beating.
Also, even though this song kicks brutal ass, doesn't Ed sound fuckin beautiful in parts?! Seriously though!! This voice is sounding gorgeous!!! I am thinkin Stoney or someone is in the background at times. I wonder wonder who it is for sure. Whatever the case, I'm lovin it.

Sorry I'm late to the party on this one...
What really locks me into this song is the freaking wall of guitar that goes up and the totally anguished lead that backs Eddie...and when Stone and co. back up the "lost it's shine" line...sends chills up my spine.....and then the feeling behind "gotta get this outta my head"0 -

can you imagine if you were standing in the studio the day they recorded this watching them. Vedder and Krusen were both probably completely exausted after it. Ed's voice gets so intense at around 3 minutes in i can't even imagine the look he had in his eyes when he was doing that, and krusen just beats the living hell out of his drums so badly he probably needed to buy new ones. just listenign to that song wears me out i can't imagine how those 2 feltStunned by my own reflection, it's looking back sees me too clearly and I swore I'd never go there again. Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down.0

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUMP for the HOld ON Love!!!!!! I'm gonna go bash some dishes because Mr. Krusen is kicken all kinds of ass in this song!!!!!http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?p=2848604&posted=1#post2848604

This song is definitely the greatest surprise of the Lost Dogs album!
I love Pearl Jam and everything they've done over the years, but I've got to admit, I always wanted to hear just one more song that sounded like the early days - that magical time when everything they touched turned to gold.
Hold On is such a gift. Every time I hear it, it feels like 1993 all over again. Kind of sad, but such a unique f**king feeling.
Hard to believe this was hidden all these years. I didn't even read all of these posts. But, obviously we all know we have gotten one final gift to remember the early magic of Pearl Jam, when they were new to the music world!'And his loneliness is proof'0 -
Talk about this song having a MAJOR impact on you. WHOA!!ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~

I think it is time for this song to resurface NOW!! I have been listening to the Lost Dogs Disc 1 cd for the past month or so. This song ALWAYS gets to me. Just the lyrics itself is overwhelming and sad, but also true.
try to hold onto something, but eventually you have to let it go, just not dwell on it. Move on w/your life.
That is my outlook on this song.ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~

great song!!! second best of Lost Dogs!So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone. And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow. But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself. It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.
That is why I'm singing0 -
<~~~ listening to a certain song on repeat
Yeah, I'll never stop worshiping this song and all it's glory. It's impossible to listen to it once. As soon as it ends I want more, more , MORE. And again people....Ed's voice!?!
KRUSEN?!!?
*bows down*
Everything about this song whips me back to early 90's. Love it!! Hurts so good.
