How expensive are Philly hotels compared to Boston and Chicago.  I can stay with my brother if I choose to go to Seattle but plane fare will be more.

Man, this would be a tough choice.  Went to Fenway 2 last time and it was awesome.  Philly's a lot closer to home, plus I'd have free lodging with relatives.  Never been to Chicago and would love to see Wrigley.  Decisions, decisions.

The actual Philly shows would be top notch no doubt but that venue doesn't impress me. Felt very cookie cutter and generic when I was there several years ago.

If this is true, then playing Citi Field/Meadows Festival in NYC the following weekend would also make sense.

I from Omaha, and booked my round trip flights for around $365 after taxes and fees from expedia. I will be staying with a touring buddy that lives in NJ. So as of now flights are not that bad. Hotels I'm waiting on in hoping I wont have to purchase any. Could be extra merch spending for me if I can cut out hotel cost.

I get booking hotels that can be easily cancelled but booking flights off of rumored dates is a bit risky. I hope it all works out for you.

Yeah...I can cancel leading up to a week out. That is coming off labor day weekend I figured prices will be a bit higher that time of they year. Its the cheapest I have ever purchased flights for to the East Coast.

Philly Hotels are around $62- $90 on Hotwire for 2.5-3.5 Stars right now in the Philly Stadium area. Hell a lot cheaper than what I paid in Chicago 2 years ago around $180/night. They need announce this tour ASAP...sopeople have the opportunity to get these prices.

Philly too!!??  Now I'm torn between which 3 cities to go to.  They need to hurry up and announce.  Hope to fit in both shows at one of the cities depending on the schedule.

Just a guess from me I would think if they are playing two shows they do Thursday and Saturday. Since the Phillies are home Monday it gives the field crew all of Sunday and Monday morning to get the field back in playing shape.

I noticed at the ballparks there was more talking from Ed.  I like when Ed talks, but at the ballpark shows all the breaks started to really get annoying to me.  Hopefully the ballpark nostalgia wears off and there is more normal chatter.

I too enjoy when Ed talks, as long as it' not politics whether I agree or not.

Every time he talked at Fenway I thought "Oh shit, we're gonna run up against curfew." But oftentimes the talking is just him catching his breath in between songs. Will probably happen more and not less in the future.
