RE: fade in and fade outs. I agree it sounds different and seamless would be nice but I think part of the problem is getting it to fit on a CD/double LP. To get the crossed fades to sound natural you need enough open crowd sound to blend and if Ed is talking shortly before or after a song you have to get out before he starts or keep it and edit/pick a different spot for a cross fade. Doing all of that may have made the album a little too long to fit on a CD and or pushed it into a 5 sided album. The expense would be difficult to justify to have things flow together if it meant two CD's/three LPs. You could probably compare times with the film. Haven't seen it yet but do they fade out in that or is there more space between songs? And a CD a couple of seconds extra between songs could push it over the recommended length. Obviously same for vinyl.
Why didn't they have it in more theaters last weekend? Only 5 theaters according ro boxofficemojo.com . PJ20 did well so you would think a few hundred. I know it's opening in more theaters tomorrow. Wonder if it would have made the top 10.
