Just finished episode 2. That was an excellent episode. Much better than the first episode, which seemed to be mostly setting the table for the season. I was waiting for Ruth's dad to step up. He was playing it way to laid back for the psycho we know he really is. I also think that Julia Garner is a fantastic actress.
Even though I have to overlook some illogical / don't-make sense-moments (as with many dramas worth their salt), this is some damn good shit.
Agreed. I keep going back to the whole never-ending cash flow. They're just dropping money left and right and I've only finished 3 episodes. Also, that FBI agent is a complete piece of shit. I really dislike him.
Watched the first two episodes of season 2 earlier today. Off to a decent start. Yeah first episode started off kinda slow but picked up towards the end.

First season was great and I'm excited to watch the new one. I'm home with a super fucking bad cold (anyone else get colds so bad they may as well be the flu?? Happens to me every time); maybe I'll binge watch the whole thing today!

Finished season 2. They sure have set the table pretty big for season 3. Lots of loose ends and now the feds will be breathing down their neck big time along with the KC mob.
Anybody else have any idea if the changing symbols in the "O" opening title sequence mean anything? I noticed that they changed every episode, but haven't been able to determine what they stand for since they are so damn small sometimes.
Well, I guess a quick search gave me the answer I was looking for
Overall, it's clear this show is trying to pay homage to a lot of great one's before it. Anyone else get flashbacks of Walt taking the baby in Breaking Bad after the whole Mason chaos this season? And then watching this highly dysfunctional family have a baby in their home, it's all I could think about.
Unlike Breaking Bad, I like how this show has made it a point to make the female characters strong and definitive in their actions; Ruth, Wendy, Darlene and Helen.
So far in this show there has not been a character that I disliked (obviously they are all evil people). Wendy is starting to get on my nerves. She has turned into a giant phony that does not care for her family at all.

Yeah, it seems like she has always been selfish and quite conniving based on her past, including her affair, but I do find her character to be the most annoying because of the kind of person she really is. Linney is doing a good job with the role though. Anytime I dislike the character and not the performance means they're doing a good job.
Although, Petty was probably my least favorite along with Cade.
Finished season 2 last night. Ruth is really becoming a great, complex character. Julia Garner is carrying that role excellently. And I completely agree with tbergs about Wendy - any time you hate the character it means the actor is doing a great job at the role. Wendy is supposed to boil our blood. Laura Linney is fantastic in just about everything she does.
I am not sure if Wendy saved the family's life though in the last episode with her decision. She would have definitely wanted to make the decision she made, but I am wondering if the conversation with the cartel attorney that morning was really a message from the cartel that they know EVERYTHING that is going on and Wendy caught on.

I wondered the same thing, especially when she mentioned how they've been monitoring web traffic and thought they'd be running if the casino failed.
Finished 2nd season last night. Thought it was great and looking forward to S3 now!
