I saw this comment on youtube and thought it was pretty good:
Hey kid- take care of that voice. don't blow it out after 4 years. keep your guitarist away from the coke and keep your drummer away from the booze. hire a pro wrestler to be your manager. don't trust anyone to watch your money when you play madison square garden. do these things and you should be alright. best of luck!

Great advice ! Really dig these guys

I'd really like to go to a live show.  They're playing a festival in Vancouver on the same weekend as Foo Fighters but the date hasn't been narrowed down yet.  Also doesn't sound like their headlining it, so if it was the same day as Foo, I could hyptothetically go to both.

I bought Black Smoke Rising on vinyl the other day.  Record store doesn't have a slot for Greta Van Fleet and someone jammed it in with the next artist so I found it there (instead of the misc section).    Employee said I was lucky because they thought it'd be sold out for a while.

It was great being introduced to this band via The Trains Lounge Car (I had missed this thread).  My first reaction to hearing these kids rock out was- wow, great!.  My second reaction was to pray to the gods of music to send these lads the gift on a great manager- someone with enough savvy to make the right suggestions but the wisdom and patience to let them develop as naturally as possible.  The buzz about this band, of course, is their Zep vibe and that is cool, but I really belief their ultimate fate lies in their ability to create their own sound and their own vibe.  I think they have the smarts and the chops to do it.  Lets hope those music gods come through for these boys.

Just been listening to these guys! Really digging it! From the Fires is a real rocking set. The Led Zep comparisons are obvious but that can’t be a bad thing when it sounds so good!

I've been seeing this name on the internet a lot lately but had dismissed it due to the name being "Greta Van Fleet." Couldn't help but think of that Fox News host. But...after seeing a post declaring them the new Led Zeppelin, I was like "Oh...it's a rock band. I'll give them a listen." And they're pretty good. I guess every rock band rips off Zeppelin to a degree. But this singer really walks the walk. Good stuff.

First heard them last year on Sirius Spectrum and literally did a double take as I was wondering if it was new unreleased Zeppelin.
Then I got to see them headline in a small hall this past December and damn glad I did.

This band is from Frankenmuth, MI.  I grew up just over an hour away from there.  It’s a really funny town known for its gigantic Christmas store and German culture that my family would visit annually. Small world...

True, the bands sound is fairly derivative, but they admit it to some degree and do it because they dig it.  I like their energy and sound.  And I think they have the chops to develop a unique sound.  And it's cool to see millennials rocking out!

I just got into them last month and I can't stop listening to them.
I read they are making a new album, I can't wait for that. Hopefully they'll visit Australia soon.

Amazing set by them at Shaky Knees a couple weeks ago. Really enjoyed it. The crowd for them was insane, would have thought they were headlining

Absolutely love these guys! Can't wait to see them expand on their creativity in their first album.

That's what's so insane, they're making a big splash but haven't even made a full album yet!

I'm hoping I can see them at 9:30 Club and The Anthem in DC this summer.

Are any young kids going to these shows?

I tried to like this band, I really did but they just don't do it for me...

Great show last night. I just love their guitar player. The way he rocks back and forth when playing just gets me so excited, lol. He also played a little bit with his guitar behind his head, which is always entertaining. Just crazy how popular they are and they havent even released a regular studio album yet. There is obviously a real hunger for, as wobbie stated, straight ahead rock and roll.
I would say the crowd was a mix of younger and older fans.
Anyway, look forward to see whats to come in the future  and wishing them all the best. I had heard their first album will be out in July.

There was a rumor kid rock was gonna be there and play with them. Thank god that didnt come to furition.
Im still hungover, think ill go to bed now. Peace.
