After a double surf session there’s nothing better than heading over the bridge to Howard beach and getting New Park Pizza. Phenomenal as always.

I’m not embarrassed to admit to polishing off 5 slices.

This is one that’s a must if you’re ever in the area. Your homemade pies look better and better!

    Hell yes.
    Excellent roni coverage.
    This weekend we rock Portland
  • My kid likes pizza hut stuffed crust.  It is an abomination.  Domino's thin is 10x the pizza hut thing.
Worst part is $20 for a large stuffed crust pepperoni.
(They don't sell smaller than large)
Not even cheap and it is an assault on actual pizza.
When I traveled I got the stuffed crust and the garlic dipping sauce.  Poppa Johns dipping sauce made it palatable.

After eating shitty long island pizza for a while we stopped over there and I forgot how good their pizza was.  There and Spumoni Gardens are two places I try to hit up if I am close.

Nick have you tried DeVinos yet?  My family says they are pretty good too.

Absolutely agree on new park and Spumoni. Two of the very best

no I haven’t. I honestly don’t make my way to Howard beach too often. It’ll be extremely hard to be in Howard beach and try any other pizza besides new park lol.

Detroit red top with pepperoni cups and they call the crispy cheese edges the crown. AJ is a NYer and pizza aficionado who moved west
and opened shop here. We’re so lucky to have him. Does traditional NY style pies, Detroits, and Sicilian squares.

THATS why i know the look.  Detroit style!  I have never tried that.  Did Deep dish.  Really liked that one.

Definitely looks like good quality pies.

I don't think we will find any Detroit style pies here on the Island...

That margherita will be the closest to a NY slice.  I'd totally try the detroit one.  Iam fully expecting it to be different than a NY slice though.
