  • Interesting that they get that cook on the roni, while the rest seems a but under.
Bar pie means bar drinking....and pizza is a good pairing.  👍

  • Tonight from Nostra.  New joint, really good.  A Sicilian (primo, the best within 20 miles I think) and regular cheese.  (Good, kid loved it, but I'd have preferred a few more minutes in.)
They have killer neopolitans but those need to be eaten in restaurant.   These were to go's

There is a place in the world for Domino's. Not preferred at all, but at times it is needed. Like when your plane lands in the middle of nowhere at 10pm you have to get a rental, get to the Courtyard, and you haven't had any real food since 9am. Or when you get home late from a family trip. I always order way too much when that happens. So bad but so good (might even get some ranch for dipping) when you are starving and nothing is open.

Avoid the Noid!  I ordered Domino's for the first time in probably 20-25 years about 2 weeks ago. Garlic sauce, salami, roasted red pepper, spinach, & feta.  I was surprised and not ashamed to say it was one of the better pizzas I've had locally in a good, long while. I'll probably add them to my rotation.

Alright^ dig it. Nice combo. Had regualr stuff from there and it was food. But not noteworthy.
Had an upside down slice and it was killer. (Not dominos)

I live on Long Island, have great pizza all around

i get dominos prob 4-5 times a year… only the thin crust. It’s not even really pizza, like a cracker… I usually get tomato & pepperoni

From my youth, the deep dish & original are tasty…. But it’s greasy & makes you immediately regret eating it imo

Grandma pies, parmigiana, mozzarella, basil and olive oil up top; house made sausage, pepperoni, and hot oil on the bottom one.
  • Wow that bottom one.  Looks amazing!

It’s good! Usually has bacon, but they ran out. Sausage works though.

I am going to have to try the thin crust! Sounds like a tavern pie aka "real" Chicago pizza for all the deep dish haters out there.

I was just in Chicago last week and tried deep dish at Lou Malnati’s. Thought for sure I’d like it but was honestly let down. Ironically, I tried  the New York style at Roberts and thought it was great.

Did you eat a "personal" pizza?  I ate three pieces from the personal and thought I was going to die.  The case of "the lous" was amazing.
