 Maybe they get lonely during the long, dark winter, get married so cure the boredom, and then when it becomes almost perpetual daylight in the summers they get all squirrely and hyperactive and have to divorce before it comes to blows. Or the opposite... locked inside with the same damn person all winter... by the end of it they're about ready to strangle each other, lol.
Maybe nothing to do all winter except having sex, living together, and then getting married.  Only to find out during summer daylight hours you have otherwise absolutely nothing in common.

Amazing how all these maps look similar.  If American is one big laboratory for our democracy experiment, this is real visual exercise in how GOP policies have failed America by every measure.

It seems to more specifically show the correlation between a stable family and child welfare.  Which is pretty much a no brainer.

All 3 bad.  And getting into the numbers muslim terrorists have killed 14% more people.  The problem I have is the right wing uses Muslim terrorists to deflect and ignore....and then a bunch of other use Right wing terrorists as a means to deflect and ignore....

    They are all bad.

Wait a minute, Muslim extremists are right wing.  They're both conservative, religious, want to oppress women, minorities, & gays, want to institute sharia law.  There are very few ways Muslim extremism is very different from Christian Conservatives.  Allah is just another name for God.

I was sort of joking. I'm from Indiana and there's great people there, including my dad, but sometimes they just keep shooting themselves in the foot. Like the article about the Indiana company having difficulty finding people to hire. They've made the state really unappealing, where people are leaving and not many want to move there.

Easy on Florida folks!  We have some very cool members here from and/or in Florida.  Though it's been awhile, I've been there and I thought the state had some fine features.  It's not all great of course but show me a place that is and I'll tell you another fairy tale.

Every place has its good points.  For example:

Nevada, that nuclear wasteland of toxic greed has some marvelous corners here and there.  I know a place where you can just walk around and have a hard time not stepping on super ancient trilobites.

Kansas.  I spent a night on a lonely plain with the scent of sage wafting on the night air while hearing the sound of normally elusive sand hill cranes roosting close by while in migration.

Nebraska.  I spent an afternoon in small ag town on a very minor blue highway out in the middle of nowhere and the people there were very as friendly and relaxed as can be.

Hey, if you want to bash a place, what about my home state, California?  Believe me, there's plenty to bitch about regarding this trashed paradise.  And, of course, like any place, it still has it's good points, for sure.

There's a real hard core conservative Christian base there that continually elect these guys. My dad's lived there over 50 years and it still drives him nuts. He tells me how he can't stand the "In God we trust" on the license plates about once a month.  I was blown away when the state went Obama in '08, and the mayor of South Bend just came out as gay, so there's that!

I guess shithole is the word of the day...or word-search of the moment?

Honestly, JC, if you want meaningful discussion, it might behoove you to not bump old threads with responses such as that above.  At least throw something productive into the mix.

I think I explained it. It was partially tongue in cheeck and part a criticism of how the state’s are often run, not a generalization about the residents. I suppose you’re trying to downplay trump or upplay what I said. You never really explain anyway.

i get, but its not about trump its about the use of the word and the claim that it is racist when put in context which has everyone crazy. the trump thread is difficult to follow, cannot have a discussion with all the random posts, hence the reason for the new thread.

You mean violet, right?  Or velvet?

That what we need- a peace loving Violet Velvet Party.

And incorporate Prince into the party logo!

Got a link to illustrate your clarity? Or just making shit up again? Off the top of my head, I can think you mean antifa (0 killed, I believe) versus “the Jews will not replace us” boys of Charlottesville (1 dead), Timothy McVeigh (was it 168 dead?), Eric Rudolph (2 dead), David Koresh (83 dead), GWB/Cheney/Rumsfeld (4,000+ Americans and 100s of 1,000s of Iraqis-not that you’d count them). But if this wasn’t what you were referring to, there’s this:

Waco was murder by the Clinton Administration.

Ruby Ridge was murder by the Clinton Administration.

But you want to go worldwide.

Communism and Socialism has killed more people than all other political systems combined.

The political events and riots over the last year or so in the US were largely ommitted by leftist Communist goons, assault for wearing hats, physically attacking women, Charlottesville, Berkley, Baltimore, Ferguson, Milwaukee, etc.

Was that woman actually hit by the car?

You also couldn't contain your lunatic obsession with another "fearing elimination of the white race" post so you just list a bunch of examples where white people are killed in the US.
