Love Kubrick. I have some pretty cool original posters from some Kubrick films! I'm actually looking at my original clockwork poster right now ;)

That's pretty sweet! Never got into collecting movie posters, that sounds like a dark and expensive rabbit hole to go down.

It's... not cheap, but I love it. I actually just picked up the crown jewel to my collection. It's a super rare style c 2001 a space odyssey poster, and I acquired it from this lady, Catherine McCall. Her dad, Robert McCaul did the art work for all 4 2001 posters. The style c was for cinerama theaters only so only a few hundred were printed! There has been a hand full of heavily restored ones that have surfaced at auction, but the one I just bought is completely mint, and hasn't even been folded.
Catherine told me that her dad went to Europe to have dinner with Stanley Kubrick, and Stanley took him to where the posters were being printed. Kubrick let him take a few home, and now I own one of them. Very very special item for me.

My list is definitely not of the same quality, and picking 5 is extremely tough because I like so many films, but here goes:

    1.  Godfather (1 and 2)
    2.  Dazed and Confused
    3.  Breakfast Club
    4.  Lost Boys
    5.  The Shining

So many others I'd like to add to the list...

That's an amazing story Riley! Like I said before, 2001 is only my 6th favorite movie but that's mostly because I'm personally drawn to movies with one strong central character, as my top 5 list would indicate (minus Pulp Fiction, which has several extremely strong characters). From an objective standpoint I think it is easily the greatest movie ever made, I don't even want to start because I could ramble on forever about it. For it to be #6 on my list despite not having several of the aspects that I usually like in a movie is astounding, masterpiece is an understatement.

Forrest Gump and Shawshank are definitely top 10; maybe even should have been top 5 for me. Epic movies.
