this has less to do with liberals vs conservatives and more america vs trump.
I don't think this has just started 5 months ago to be honest.  I just goggle a story talking about this.

    http://www.businessinsider.com/list-of-disinvited-speakers-at-colleges-2016-7

also, I don't have an issue with this. these people are invited to speak at a graduation ceremony. they are there for the students, not themselves as a paid speaker. if it was a paid speaking engagement, then fine. people will come if they want to come. but if people don't want someone to speak at their rally because they believe the majority don't believe the message that person sends, then I see no issue with that. and that includes if a liberal speaker was disinvited from a historically conservative campus.

I think too much is made of it.

honestly, i dont know who i dislike more- the Donald or whiny liberals.
I think that's quite apparent. which is why I don't even know the purpose of this thread. nothing but bashing one whole group for the behaviour of the few, which is a perfect example of anti-itellectualism.
enlighten me then.  tell me which i dislike more since you know everything again.
I can only go by what I see. from what I see, it's about 95% "whiny liberal" complaining as opposed to about 1% "donald's an idiot" complaining and 4% random words that have no context.
do you really think im going to spend my time talking about donald trump on the interweb over and over and over every day of my life?  that is annoying. hence the 95%.

So start a thread on your pet rock.

while I stand by comment about not liking politicians or anyone else going to colleges for speeches, I do worry about dis inviting people who come there for debates.  Colleges in my opinion are a place to learn how to think not a place to confirm what you think you know.

To be honest. If he started a thread on his pet rock we as a collective forum would see and discurss it grow from child, to adolescence, to its marriage, it's grandkids and eventually its passing before the impeachment of President Trump.

so spending your time talking about donald trump on the interweb over and over and over every day of you life is annoying, but doing the same about another topic isn't?

    that makes so much sense.

Glad we can agree.  I wonder if there is any college students here who can talk about if they have protested any speakers and if so why?
