That Gov't Mule one is great
that one really got me.  i feel like the ones by aerosmith, u2, train, candlebox are all great, but they also seem expected.  it's when a band like gov't mule -- a band i would never imagine having anything to do with chris or soundgarden -- pays tribute that really gets me.
Warren said that he had been in contact with Chris in 2013 and they were planning on doing a song together for Gov't Mule's Shout album, but a family sitiuation of Chris' kept him from being able to. Would have loved to have heard that.

My favorite youtuber Casey Neistat included a very low key tribute to Chris in his latest video, starts at 4:58

“Norah Jones performed a solo piano cover of the Soundgarden hit "Black Hole Sun" on Tuesday night in tribute to Chris Cornell. Jones was playing at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, which was also the site of Cornell's final show."

I know someone already posted a video of The Head and the Heart covering Hunger Strike, but thought I would share this one, which is a much higher quality version (shot for TV) and includes a wonderful, personal story about Chris and Matt Cameron from when the lead singer came across them during his youth in Seattle. Cool to see one of my favorite new bands (and a Seattle one at that) doing such a beautiful cover.

WOW. Living Colour absolutely captured everything in that performance. That's some raw emotion from the crowd & Corey Taylor. Hands down best tribute, in my opinion.

Avett  Brothers crushed that BHS  cover.
I believe on that video Seth is playing a Cornell model guitar given to him by Chris.

I may be a bit biased considering I'm a huge Avetts fan but their cover is fantastic. I can't stop listening to it. Seth really hits those high notes perfectly.

The first time the Avett's played the Bojangle's Coliseum here in Charlotte some years back, Seth shared a story about him being at a Soundgarden show at the same coliseum back in the 90's. Also, Chris brought out Scott and Seth at one of his Charlotte's shows for a couple of songs. These guys are huge fans!

Hope I did this correct! It's another Cornell cover from The Avett's! I'm not to tech savvy!
