Im not big on penut butter but their good. I prefer the Almond Snickers. Looks like Hersheys Cookies and Cream there as well, those are good too. If you want to get the full American experiance, might I suggest the Fluff, eaten with a spoon right out of the jar.Spiritual_Chaos said:
Curious about the Snickers Peanut Butter which we don't have in Sweden... might go buy one tomorrow...PJPOWER said:

American shelf at my local (cooperativly owned) supermarket in the ”food of the world” section. Only sugary, fat stuff and candy. Hehe.
I bought a Fanta flavour we don’t have.

I bought the Snickers Peanut Butter. Not worth double from what a normal Snickers cost here, but fun trying. Also bought a "Fanta Apple" which we don't have normally.Hi! said:

Are you saying the Penut Butter kind costs twice as much as the regular Snickers? If so chalk up a point for the USA because their the same price here, lol.Spiritual_Chaos said:

We have ordinary Snickers sold here. But not the Peanut Butter kind so it was specially imported and therefore more expensive."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

Most Americans feel pretty bad eating twinkies too lolConorKavanagh said:My local supermarket has an American shelf as well. Once in a while I'll buy a box of Twinkies. Then I will feel really bad as I eat them one by one.
They used to be much better than they are now too, they get to be less and less like food every few years.
Anyone want some Tang?

Man who lost leg in Afghanistan helps Colin Powell with flat

Yesterday was a reassuring day for me. I was on my way to Walter Reed Military Hospital for an exam. As I drove along Interstate 495 my left front tire blew out. I am a car guy and knew I could change it but it was cold outside and the lug bolts were very tight. I jacked the car up and got several of the bolts removed when a car suddenly pulled up in front of me. As the man got out of his car I could see that he had an artificial leg. He said he recognized me and wanted to help me. We chatted and I learned that he lost his leg in Afghanistan when he worked over there as a civilian employee. He grabbed the lug wrench and finished the job as I put the tools away. Then we both hurriedly headed off to appointments at Walter Reed. I hadn't gotten his name or address but he did ask for a “selfie”. And then he sent me the message below last night."Gen. Powell, I hope I never forget today because I’ll never forget reading your books. You were always an inspiration, a leader and statesman. After 33 years in the military you were the giant whose shoulders we stood upon to carry the torch to light the way and now it is tomorrow’s generation that must do the same. Anthony Maggert"
Thanks, Anthony. You touched my soul and reminded me about what this country is all about and why it is so great. Let's stop screaming at each other. Let's just take care of each other. You made my day.

This story, on the surface, sounds warm and fuzzy, but let's not forget that Colin Powell was the "political general" who support the Bush administrations decision to invade Iraq and continued to support U.S. involvement in the war in Iraq, a war that never had any real justification.Meltdown99 said:Man who lost leg in Afghanistan helps Colin Powell with flat
