It was an awesome night. He took the time to chat with everyone while he was signing and personalized the books. I told him I was at the 2nd Temple of the Dog show here and we chatted about that (hence what he wrote above his signature). He was so great.

KEXP Songbook: Of Potato Heads and Polaroids with Mike McCready

    http://blog.kexp.org/2017/06/01/kexp-songbook-of-potato-heads-and-polaroids-with-mike-mccready/

Live in the KEXP’s gathering space last Tuesday, we celebrated a special edition of our Songbook Live series, featuring an hour-long conversation between DJ Kevin Cole and Pearl Jam guitarist, and photographer, Mike McCready. Mike’s new book, Of Potato Heads and Polaroids, is filled with photos, mostly Polaroids, he took documenting years recording and on the road, capturing intimate moments of himself and others, including tons of superstars like Neil Young, Questlove, Jimmy Page, Paul McCartney, Ann and Nancy Wilson, Joey Ramone, Robert Plant, and too many to list! Watch below as Kevin Cole talks with make about how this part-time hobby became a full obsession, and hear Mike’s candid and entertaining stories of a handful of the book’s highlights.

Show starts at 28 minutes in:

Think it's worth just showing up at the NYC one? So odd I can't get into a book signing.

There should be a stand by line.  They moved it from the bookstore so I imagine it's going to be packed.
I would call the store and see what they say.
