Perhaps I'm missing something, but this thought experiment isn't even being suggested for the US. The writer is talking about South Africa. I don't think unsung has much to worry about here.

Or so you think! You haven't heard about the big bad globalization and how we are steps away from one government to rule them all!
And one ring to bind them....

I don't worry at all, the author of this article and participants in this thread do. If we stopped everything for a week the country would stop.

And all of you know it.
What does this even mean? Are you threatening to go Galt?

    Seems to be self-contradictory.
You say you don't worry, yet you feel enough victimhood as a white man to threaten a Galt.

  • There are 2 assumptions I find interesting:

1). All wealth accumulated via violence. Umm bit of a stretch. I get hes trying to link this all back to Christopher Columbus, but what does that mean for Lebron James?

2). Liberalism and progressivism are the only proper ways of thought.

Thus proving himself wrong. Aren't these the lines of thought (from views opposing his) that led us to where we are? So as a result, wouldn't his world ultimately end up as we are now, just with different people "enforcing the rules?"

I am not arguing the Apartheid or American slavery concept. Any thoughtful person knows those were wrong. Just the poor logic that aims to be better than the condition he's railing against.

Another terribly written academic philosophy paper. Hope he got an F. Not for content. But, for the poorly designed hypothesis-argument-conclusion.

(And a final proof of his narrow mindedness - if his assumptions are correct how did Obama get elected? Not saying that's a bad thing. That's besides the point. If you read between the lines, this is just another whiny article about Trump.)
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    Hmmm strange.
    Wait, no it isn't.

It was a wacky fringe belief posted on a blog, which was taken down when people who weren't wacky fringers read it.
It would take a wacky fringe believer from the other end of the spectrum to take it seriously as a representation of anything beyond a wacky fringe.

Was there a comment to the effect that they endorsed it? I would assume this, like many of the blog posts, falls under "opinion expressed do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the organization".

Further thoughts - yes, by putting it on their site they made it viewable and accessible by a wide audience. I think it's naive to believe that means they endorse the idea itself or think it would ever possibly come to pass. I think it means that they judged it as controversial enough to guarantee discussion and increased traffic on their site and a small amount of outrage in certain circles, but not enough to damage them. The perfect click bait.

And also perfect for furthering their agenda. Test the waters, if nothing else they can remove it and claim it was an unendorsed blog post. But it still gets the idea out there, gets them talking, and before long someone like Hillary Clinton thinks she can gain one vote by it and boom, it is the party platform.
