If Trump only said this, or just one thing in particular, and no other things that make him seem like a fascist, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Everyone understands the context in which Trump said this specific comment - we're not all idiots. But the fact that he was "making a funny" in this one instance really isn't the point.

Democracy is degraded slowly through propaganda, through a bunch of little things that work on the minds of the people and on the way government is run. That only a minority of people support Trump doesn't change that fact. All the tweets, all the quips, combined with all the firings, all the attacks on the justice system and the media, the subtle but purposeful erosion of public trust in the current system ... all those thing culminate into something very dangerous that these "checks and balances" don't necessarily stop in the long run.

Who knows? I'm talking about the slow, insidious growth of a system that hurts everyone except those in power, be it a fascist state, a corptocracy, an oligarchy, or whatever. The Constitution isn't the end all and be all of the universe. It is fallible, and it and anything like it are always at risk. Shit falls apart eventually. Trump could very well be the beginning of the slow fall of America or the profound transformation of American into something worse. It happens to every society eventually, so I'm not too sure why some assume it's suddenly impossible just because of the Constitution. And no, I'm not paranoid. I'm just looking at it objectively.

I'm not really sure what you're talking about, lol. I think you know my perspective when it comes to Trump the man and the leader. We're just talking about what he looks like here, which is, of course, completely irrelevant to his actual leadership. He would simply look like shit bald. But FWIW, to say that someone is a worse person with no guts just because they don't want to be bald seems pretty shallow. I'm sure there are plenty of absolutely brilliant, wonderful, strong men in the world who still don't want to be bald (not that there's anything wrong with that, lol.
