How much more will they let this menace continue to roam and spew his lies? If this was anyone else they’d be sitting in a cell waiting for trials! Why is this country do afraid of this idiot?

It doesn't matter cuz gas prices.

Embrace fascism & authoritarianism cuz gas prices.

    But but but HUNTER!!!
Correct on both posts! Russia can drop a nuke right in the center of Ukraine and MAGA idiots would applaud it! But yeah Genocide has nothing on gas prices here in land of freedumb!
Where do you get that? I get that your exaggerating, or at least assume you are, and they wouldn't actually applaud it.
But I keep hearing people say MAGA supports Putin. But I haven't seen anyone support him, just saying its not our problem, not our war, etc. Not believe its worth the cost to us. They all would greatly fear a nuke being used.

Ok maybe you didn’t see it but I thought I’d point it out! It surely looks like they support Putin!
I question a couple things here.  The intelligence of the people that were waving the trump Russia flags, were they actually aware that these were Russian flags?  Two, who distributed the flags?  It would be easy for someone with a political motive to distribute those flags to a bunch of uneducated Trump supporters to make things look worse than they are.  Those people could have been thinking oh how nice a red white and blue trump flag for all we know.  It sounds like the organizers were collecting them and throwing out the people in possession of the flags, that doesn't sound like endorsing the behavior to me.  I'm sure this view makes me a "Putin Apologist"
Ok let’s chalk it up to stupidity for his supporters! It still happened and if they could get away without any media finding out about this stunt they’d happily keep them!
When I read your post my thoughts were the same as static.
It was supposedly a political prank. Doubtful they knew it was a Russian flag, just saw red white and blue with Trump on it. They look very tiny and I only see a few with them in the picture. They were quickly removed.
Yes, it’s kind of funny and stupid on them at the same time. But, remember, this was your evidence that Trump supporters also support Putin and the war. I’m just not seeing any evidence of that.

The presumed Republican speaker (if the gop wins the house) has expressly stated he would be against funding Ukraine. So voting Republican in the midterms is not supporting Russia?
There’s a difference between not providing support to Ukraine and supporting Putin. Did the Swiss support Hitler in WWII because they didn’t support the Allie’s?
Their view isn’t pro Putin and his war, but it isn’t worth the cost to us. There’s a difference.

the swiss readily accepting stolen cash, gold and silver deposits as well as storing stolen art from Jews sent to camps is absolutely support in the face of so called neutrality.

to argue otherwise is disingenuous at best,   at worst a total fucking _______ argument .

That’s how the GOP gets votes. It should be apparent and obvious our tech and weaponry is what is holding Russia from full control of Ukraine. Yet they have their double talk that it isn’t worth the cost.

A vote for the GOP is a vote to pacify Putin. When is it worth the cost, when he sizes up the Baltics next? Poland? When? Every GOP candidate should be facing a full court press on this, instead the midterms are an absurd referendum on global inflation.
It’s not just inflation. It’s crime as well. Here in New York, crime and economy are way above any other concerns including Abortion and Democracy in polls. I understand your point but Let’s not just chalk it up to gas prices.

Fair point but that's more gop misinformation.  Crime is a local issue. Is Mccarthy going to take over the NYPD? The laws to deal with crime exist, its up to local law enforcement,  mayors and governors to enforce. As much as a certain segment of the population wants NYPD to bring back stop and frisk, people have rights to be presumed innocent,  whether or not Mccarthys tribe believes congress is responsible for enforcement of law
Republicans will ALWAYS make it about crime because they know fearing their constituents is what drives them to the polls. It has always worked well for them. This year is no different...democracy be damned.

Very true, and nick was right to bring up crime as an issue, but I really think high unemployment or inflation  causes the party in the White House to lose congress, as is expected this election

So instead of having voters shape policies and laws to improve the country, such as womens rights or gun safety, voters treat midterms like they are going to the ATM or maybe to buy more cops. It really doesn’t make sense, unless there is something specific that the opposition party can pin onto the party in power regarding bad economic policy.

In this case it seems the Dems made the right moves, gas prices are down and supply chain issues have been fixed. But that will likely not matter in two weeks

Here’s Brandon’s plan to address crime. What are the repubs proposing? Oh yea, right, locking up Hillary, Obama and Hunter.

    Unemployment is at 3.5% isn't it....pretty low.

Inflation is an issue.  I wouldn't say the Dems are doing nothing, but the inflation reduction act is really misnamed.  There are great concerns regarding the economy in the near future....people being unsure or uneasy does make them want change...not patient enough to see if things put in place have an effect.  Biden has had his wins and some loses...but still not sure how anyone could vote for the majority of these GOP candidates when they are straight up liars at best and anti-democracy at worst.

GOP candidates don’t have to even put up any of their legislative positions all they have to do is point to inflation, prices of food gas etc etc.

  • After much searching and tapping into all of my contacts and their contacts and following up the leads, including going underground into the Q-a-verse, I’ve finally obtained a copy of the holy grail. It took awhile, I paid through the nose but I have definitely proven what the Steele Dossier alleged. It was a tough slog but someone had to do it.

Now, I’ll admit that listening to it is not the same as watching it but to be honest, if you close your eyes, listen to POOTWH’s voice with the forceful stream and his giggles of delight, you can picture it. And frankly, it makes your skin crawl. On top of that, it’s not just one woman, or two women but three that are bouncing on the bed and somehow coordinate their streams. Who knew?

Side One goes for 26 minutes while Side Two goes for 32 minutes. I think there may have been a little doody play in there too but it was hard to tell with the snaps and pops. I think I might need a new stylus.

If you’re interested in a bootleg copy on CD, PM me and I’ll send you my PayPal info. $250 per CD plus S&H. Operators standing by.

12 jurors seated for Trump Organization tax fraud trial
    By MICHAEL R. SISAK

NEW YORK (AP) — It’s taken just three days to seat a jury of 12 people in the tax fraud trial of Donald Trump’s company — surprising even some people involved in the case who thought it would take at least a week to find an impartial panel in heavily Democratic New York City.

Five of the jurors were sworn in Thursday, joining seven who were picked Tuesday. Six alternates still need to be seated. That process is beginning anew Thursday and Friday with a second pool of potential jurors, but lawyers say they’re on track for opening statements on Monday.

The four men and eight women selected so far emerged from an exacting process, including a 32-part questionnaire and one-on-one questioning, designed to sift out candidates with immutable opinions about the Republican former president and his company, the Trump Organization.

The selected jurors were among the least vocal about Trump. Some admitted that they had opinions about him and his leadership, but vowed to set aside any personal thoughts and consider only evidence presented during the trial, which is taking place in state court in Manhattan.

Judge Juan Manuel Merchan has said the case — involving allegations that the Trump Organization helped some top executives avoid income taxes on compensation they got in addition to their salaries — will likely take about six weeks, meaning it could end in December.

Trump himself isn’t on trial and he isn’t expected to testify, but his name is sure to come up a lot.

Trump signed some checks at issue in the case. His name appears on memos and other evidence. Another company lawyer, Alan Futerfas, said he expected some witnesses will testify about conversations they’ve had with Trump.

Trump Organization lawyer William J. Brennan referred to the absent Trump as the “mist in the room.”

Prosecutors have said they do not need to prove Trump knew about the compensation scheme to get a conviction.

They argue the Trump Organization is liable in part because former finance chief Allen Weisselberg, who has pleaded guilty to taking $1.7 million in off-the-books compensation, was a “high managerial agent” entrusted to act on the company's behalf.

Weisselberg, whose perks included apartment rent, luxury cars and school tuition for his grandchildren, has agreed to testify as part of a plea deal that also includes several months in jail.

“This case is not about Donald Trump,” lead prosecutor Susan Hoffinger said.

As swift as jury selection has been, the process has also underscored just how tough it is to find anyone without at least something to say about Trump — especially in Manhattan, where 87% of voters in the 2020 election went with his Democratic rival, Joe Biden.

The challenge for defense lawyers, prosecutors and Merchan has been in figuring out which opinions are innocuous, which are disqualifying, and where to draw the line.

One juror made the cut after saying he thought Trump had been “acting a little crazy” and narcissistic as president.

Merchan reasoned that the man’s negative opinions of Trump were limited to his presidency and did not involve issues relevant to the case, such as his work as a businessman and his company. He denied a defense’s request to strike the man for cause, and the defense elected not use one of its limited number of peremptory challenges.

Other decisions were more clear cut.

A woman who said “Trump continues to lie to the American people that he won the 2020 election” and another woman who gave glowing endorsements of Trump and his company were both removed from consideration.

Then there was Noah Passer, a worker’s compensation lawyer, whose brutal honesty in revealing how he views Trump led to quick agreement amongst prosecutors and Trump Organization lawyers that he wasn't right for the jury.

“I absolutely hate him. I think he’s a liar and a scam artist and a bully. He’s a danger to our democracy, international stability and potentially humanity with his environmental policies,” Passer said during questioning in open court. “I think his university was a scam. His charity was a scam. He has problems with the truth.”

Brennan, the Trump Organization lawyer, was so amped to send Passer home that he mixed up his notes and started arguing against him when a different juror was still being considered. By the time they got to Passer, the sides had agreed on the 12 jurors who were seated, meaning he was up for consideration as first alternate.

Brennan called Passer the “most seething, openly hostile prospective juror" in the pool and said that it was a "no brainer” that he be removed.

Did i insult you?  You called me "caveman".  Pot meet kettle.  Typical liberal hypocrisy.  Ask your "specialist" how much you've lost since 2021 vs how much you gained since 2016.  Ask him how much you stand to lose in the next 2.  Bet he doesn't return your cal.....
