    next week it will be 15 months since the jan 6 insurrection and he has faced zero consequences. he is probably going to be president again at this rate.

    i fucking hate how slow our doj is moving on this. i am not convinced that they are really even moving on it to be honest.

    Plenty of people have been charged.  The question is whether the political characters engaged in an unlawful conspiracy.  That's not easy to prove.

    It feels like they're charging pawns only. Really, I don't need Jenna the private-plane-flying realtor to do time. We need people that were actually trying to pull off a coup to answer for it. And I don't think they will. And I don't think Garland wants them to.

    I agree, but not necessarily criminally.  I would think the most likely charge would be seditious conspiracy.  You would have to prove that Trump and team knowingly conspired to delay the EC procedures.  And those delays were criminal, and not in line with the Constitution.  Alternatively, you would have to prove that they conspired to unlawfully move the presidential selection into the House of Representatives. That's a huge stretch I think, since the Constitution expressly has a process for the House to select the president.  So I'd be interested to know what people think can be proven criminally (beyond a reasonable doubt) based on what we know today.

    But this week, I got the coveted email welcoming me to Truth Social, with the caveat that “we are still fixing many bugs.” Sure enough, I clicked on the provided link to my profile — and got an error message. Eventually, I followed all the accounts Truth suggested for me, including Kyle Rittenhouse, Maria Bartiromo, the Epoch Times, Hot Chicks Golfing, Dr. Fauci Sucks, Sean Hannity, Eric Trump, Fake Hunter Biden, Dan Bongino, Breitbart News, Donald Trump Jr. and Donald Trump. House Republican leaders are on the platform, with red checkmarks instead of Twitter’s blue. In fact, the whole thing looks similar to Twitter, with “Truths” instead of tweets; the only differences are the lack of functionality and users.

    I searched for the hashtag #Ukraine, hopped into the rabbit hole and was quickly swimming in a cesspool.

    There were posts from Russian state propaganda. There was a doctored image of Trump holding a sign saying “Zelensky is the Avenatti of leaders.” There was a doctored video of Putin saying “Let’s go, Brandon.” There were posts about Ukrainian leaders being corrupt. There was a claim that Ukraine is “defending the NWO” — New World Order.

    there will have to be a formal criminal defense at some point in the future where someone is accused of a similar crime that trump has apparently committed and they say "my client did the same thing as trump and trump was never arrested or indicted. you cannot hold my client to a higher standard than donald trump."

    the law must be applied equally to the powerful and the regular citizen at all times.
