there will be no bridging of the gaps until we get a president who decides he wants to be president of all of us instead of just his base, which is 34% of the entire population.JW269453 said:
We definitely agree it is disgusting, but I do not see it as being the fault of one side more so than the other. If this were the case there would not be a fairly equal distribution of supporters across the board. There are very specific things that are deal breakers for supporting each side and those deal breakers are lines that morally can't be crossed for many. This doesn't mean the other side is evil, it just means they value ideals differently. These parties need to stop catering only to their followers and figure out how you bridge the gaps. Our current status is one of division and neither side can escape the blame for causing the majority of it.gimmesometruth27 said:
probably because the gop has to ALWAYS stick some anti abortion legislation on to every single bill that gets crafted. both sides find it impossible to craft clean bills, ever.JW269453 said:
Exactly. Why is a relief bill about anything other than relief? There are people out there that are going to be desperate before these jack asses stop playing games. Sadly I would have more faith in 100 random people figuring this out than these elected clowns.nicknyr15 said:
All good man, I appreciate that. It’s disgusting to have either side push any agendas through this bill. This bill should be about the working class people first and foremost.josevolution said:

its like- democrat- "ok lets check out this bill. oh, it has abortion restrictions for some reason. fuck that, let me add some student debt relief to it. also let's fund this highway in my district while i am at it."
republican- "oh yeah, let's throw in 5 billion for the wall and another 500 billion for trump and mnuchin to use however they want."
see how it spirals out of control?

Joe Biden appears to be re-enacting the title role of Weekend at Bernie's. He's probably further down the path to dementia (and certainly has less energy) than Trump. I am only going to vote for him because of Trump.tbergs said:
He's not getting 4 more years. There's no evil Hillary to rail against so people dont need to try and claim that "lesser of two evils" bullshit again. If they vote for him this time, they'll have to own it outright.josevolution said:
4 more years of him and we will be in a total dictatorship no doubt about! There’s no check&balances left that can contain him, he’s very much like a virus we have to protect ourselves from him and his followers they are a decease..Smellyman said:HughFreakingDillon said:he tweeted:
It is very important that we totally protect our Asian American community in the United States, and all around the world. They are amazing people, and the spreading of the Virus........is NOT their fault in any way, shape, or form. They are working closely with us to get rid of it. WE WILL PREVAIL TOGETHER!Race baitng for a month (well years really)....Look how I am Presidential! I am a big boy POTUS

So are we part of the establishment? Or the deep state?I find "the establishment" so funny. At what point are the Trumps "the establishment?" Right now, given all the nepotism? Ivanka's presidency? Junior's? Eric's?The Trumps ARE the establishment...we just don't know it yet.Post edited by OnWis97 on1995 Milwaukee 1998 Alpine, Alpine 2003 Albany, Boston, Boston, Boston 2004 Boston, Boston 2006 Hartford, St. Paul (Petty), St. Paul (Petty) 2011 Alpine, Alpine 2013 Wrigley 2014 St. Paul 2016 Fenway, Fenway, Wrigley, Wrigley 2018 Missoula, Wrigley, Wrigley 2021 Asbury Park 2022 St Louis 2023 Austin, Austin 2024 Napa, Wrigley, Wrigley 2025 Nashville (II)0 -

Highly factual does not equate to perfection. No publication is ever going to be error-free; it's a matter of degree.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -
Easter!!!Yeah! Why the fuck not?! What’s the worst that can happen with packing churches across the country with mostly elderly folks at a time when a pandemic that preys on such people is peaking?
AMERICA!!!

I find RS just okay. It's very left wing, which is fine, but it doesn't try to draw any balance whatsoever. You can be factual but still overly biased. National Review is a great example of that. NRO is more opinion and less expose than RS, but I put them generally in the same category. NRO doesn't peddle lies and propaganda, they just have a particular viewpoint, like RS.oftenreading said:mickeyrat said:

suppose trump loses and he refuses to hand over information from his administration to the biden administration relating to the pandemic. i can see manbaby doing this, and i am legitimately worried about it.0 -

And the site separates out Left/Right bias from factual reporting, since they are two different things.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -
