    I also played collegiate.  Think about how you threw on the turn.  It was 3/4 unless you had to put on the heat. Then you extend.

    True but you don’t catch a ball like that and then quick release/throw back unless you played a little bit.  I m not saying he was scouted by mlb but I think he did play.  
    And to me the way he caught the ball is more telling than the way he threw it.

    I was just impressed he got it to the catcher on the fly. I'd be nervous as shit.

    He was only 58 though. I bet he rarely gets nervous. He has so much self inflated confidence with everything he does I bet he had no problem doing that.
