Lightning Bolt Red Vinyl Question

Hi,
Firstly, I didn't put this post in 'Lost Dogs' because I am not buying or selling, just asking a question.
Is the cover for the red vinyl version of Lightning Bolt the same as the standard black version -therefore is it possible to tell a red version, if it's sealed- are there any markings or stickers or other codes on the sleeve or is the sleeve exactly the same as the black version?

Thanks

In many cases the colored vinyls have a sticker on the wrapping. Discogs will have detailed info on upc codes etc. I am sure someone else will be able to confirm sticker.

    Also can ask MedozK

I have them both. The regular version I bought brand new. The red vinyl version I had to track down on the used market. Just going by the covers they are the exact same. I would certainly imagine there would be some kind of hype sticker on the cellophane touting the red vinyl aspect if you were able to find a brand new unopened copy. Then again, I really don't know because my red copy was already opened when I bought it..

Exactly the same. You must open them to find out if it is red. However, red replacement copies did come in a white generic sleeve differing from the generic black sleeve of the regular black replacements.

Both are the same. Even the bar code on the back. Nothing different. No added stickers on the packaging either.

Yep. That's also how they were selling the red vinyl @ the Pop Up Shop '13 event. Red vinyl came in a white generic sleeve, that was wrapped / sealed, along with the opened LB case.

The white sleeve sealed replacement was sent for the messed up first run. So the likelyhood of getting a messed up red vinyl is supposedly much higher with the regular version. Universal sent out a second run to anyone who asked(which most did). Consensus at the time seemed to be white sleeve replacement batch sounded really good.
