Yea, there is absolutely no way that Charlotte was half full for that 2003 show. I have been to every DMB show since 1998 there. Next to the DMB shows, the Pearl Jam shows and the Coldplay show were the most full that I have been out there. I was there for Aerosmith a couple of years ago and the back of the lawn was empty. Oh well. Grennville was a great show and was full. My tickets were behind the stage because that he all we could get. I cannot wait for Columbia. I have not seen them since Ashville on the VFC tour. Almost four years, which is way too long!0

Two Feet Thick also has the attendance at 9,392 for the Charlotte show in 2003. However, I was also there and it seemed like a lot more than that. I don't think it was completely full, but I would have guesstimated that it was about 80% full (16,000 in attendance). I'm thinking that nobody ever really got accurate attendance figures.0

I have no idea how many of you are in the Columbia area, probably not many, but 93.5 has played SO much PJ since this tour has been announced. I'm really enjoying it.........They've always played the biggest, older hits but lately they're playing some of everything.

I was at the sold out show in Greenville, SC and the Charlotte show. And there was no way it was only half full. Both shows where packed. The Bi Lo center more so because they opened that arena, they were the first concert there.0

Yep the below states 14,027 witjh a venue capacity of 14,000. Not sure how they got it so wrong for Charlotte 2003, huge difference between almost/sold out and half full.

Beats me and I'm not saying I know for sure it's wrong. All I'm saying is Charlotte seemed packed out to me, lines waiting for the bathrooms and at the merchandise stands. Also, the crowd energy was incredible!! Plus, on a side note, what a great setlist that night!
I've been to shows in Boston, DC and Toronto so I know what a packed show looks like and Charlotte, though smaller than the venues in those cities, seemed quite full.If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

"There were some soft spots on the tour. The April 5 show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Selma, Texas, sold 12,219 of the available 20,000 seats. And 9,392 arrived April 16 for the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater show in Charlotte, N.C., which is a little less than half of its 18,800 capacity."
"Fans are showing a decreasing appetite for Pearl Jam's album releases, which makes the band's 2003 road results that much more impressive."
That weird. I was in the Selma show in 2003, and the Verizon Wireless Center was looked packed to me.0 -

my girlfriend is from south carolina and i've spent some time out there. according to them there's The South and the south. while florida is a southern state in a geographical sense it is not considered by many southerners to be in The South. which makes no sense to me (but i'm a west coast kid so what do i know right?) because florida was one of the original states that seceded from the union...who knows..they're all crazy in their own sweet southern way..
but then i've also known people from southern florida and when i presented this south/South perspective..well..lets just say they didn't agree.0 -

I'm from SC and I view Floridians to be more of the down south types than people here. I've been to Floridia a handful of times and there was a lot of similarities and a lot that seemed pretty 'country'.If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

The panhandle area, and the peninsula due east of it would be considered The South. Below that is South New Jersey. Below that is North Cuba.9-6-98 KNOXVILLE, TN
