I think people on the far left and those on the far right need to get their heads out of their asses and see that they're what's holding up progress in this country. One extreme is no less guilty than the other. I'm a liberal guy, but I'm realistic in what I would like to see accomplished in this country. Some folks on here and on the blogs and social media are what give being a liberal a bad name. You want to know what my definition of a liberal is, look up the famous JFK quote about what makes him liberal. I can imagine that the same is true for the common sense conservatives among us here and on the internet. Highjacked by the extreme views of their belief and made to look like Nazis or whatever.
Here's a tip from your uncle ledvedderman. Politics is a pendulum with a blade to your neck. Keep it moving slow and mostly in the middle- your throat is safe. Pull it back and swing it recklessly from side to side with great speed- you're cutting your own throat and dead.

I was not speaking of this forum in particular, but I am speaking about a much wider populace.
So the "wider populace" calls the entire right Nazis? I wonder what your sources are for this claim?
Why is it necessary to have to explain everything?  Wider populace = a population greater than the size of this group.

I think it's necessary for you to explain everything because you use terms differently than most of
us. Many people, I suspect, would see "wider populace" as referring to the population at large.

    Got it.
Good. Seems you admit both are wrong. Anyone see the big difference in these two scenarios right now as one is president and one is not?

Now we're talking!  I hate to get on my soap box, but I am perplexed at the extent the pendulum is swayed in a deeply disturbing way by the far right and far left propaganda through social media.  It was bad enough that cable subscribers have 24hr biased "reporting" on every time a bird shits in the boondocks, now the public consumes regurgitated/often very inaccurate biased opinions from their 2nd cousin's best friend's status update and believe it!  There is such information overload that even the modest media outlets cannot decipher what is accurate or important or relevant...and just spit out whatever is "popular" to keep themselves relevant to their viewers less they disappear into pile of birdshit mentioned earlier.  I think it's great that people (many of you here) dig and dig and dig for a glimpse of reality...but you are outnumbered by those that draw their conclusions from status updates...on both sides of the fence.  Sadly, it seems that the ones outraged by some faux/fake status update or story are the ones that are the most eager to vote.  I believe the status quo is because smart people are dumbfounded by too much questionable information and dumb people think they are smart by repeating (sharing) bird shit stories written by "Occupy ____" and either vote with confidence or annoy someone else by all of the jabs to the extent that their misinformed vote is solidified purely out of spite for the "other side".
All of this anger and spite from both sides equals a President Trump...a wild card elected purely on tweets and outrage towards all current media ass-kissing "representatives" of what?  But propaganda is nothing new, it's just reaching a much wider audience now that people are glued to their smartphones 18 hours a day.  It's almost like the two sides of the pendulum are playing some kind of sick competitive brain washing game through social media.  As one poster here keeps reminding everyone, "follow the money".  What media sponsors do you prefer to be brainwashed...eh hem "informed" by?
And the birds of a feather...

Except "follow the money" is real and not some birdshit social media meme or Facebook faux outrage twitter trend. To not "follow the money" is irresponsible and an affront to our democrat ideals considering the source of the money. Putin and his thugocracy are real, corrupt to their core and are not our friends interested in mutual benefits. Donald Trump made Donald Trump, not the birdshit media. He and his ilk have made their nest and they can lay in it. Birds of a feather indeed. I'm not on twitter or Facebook, occasionally watch Fox for the faux outrage of the day and don't have MSNBC as part of my cable package. Make fun of "follow the money" all you want but ultimately it's what is going to bring the Trump administration down.

I think you misunderstood the context of how I included "follow the money" in my paragraph.  It was more in reference to who pays for and guides the media's reporting...not a jab at the quote itself.

SO......... you met with an influential Russian lawyer..... with ties to the Kremlin...in Trump Tower....in the middle of the campaign...in secret... to talk about......adoption?

    Got it.

So you are under FBI investigation and your husband, who happens to be a former President, speaks to the current Attorney General in a plane on a tarmac, in secret, about grandkids and a golf game?

    Got it.
Do you all live in some bizzaro world where both of these things could be very bad?  I mean, just cause you contradict someone with something bad the other side did, doesn't mean the bad stuff your side does is no big deal?

it's a fair point. because most people here believe clinton to be on the up and up, or at the very least, less corrupt than trump, so if trump meets with someone, it's automatically collusion of some kind, with clinton, it's "I'm sure she had good reason".

And yet, you still hear, "lock her up" in your head, don't you? Look who's becoming the biggest defender of, "drain the swamp." Priceless, Herr Sergeant Schultz!
Oh, and by the way, when you accuse people of being Nazi's, a neo-Nazi, or "literally Hitler" you equate the Third Reich and the Holocaust with the most mundane activities and occurances.  Imagine being in a concentration camp and your family gets sent to the gas chamber and you are told that it is now the common leftist response to daily political debate.  That is your retort.

    Way to minimize a tragedy.
tell that to the republican who just recently posted a video he took for political opportunity at a nazi gas chamber. neither side has the monopoly on hyperbole.

i thought it was shady. but i will say what i said then. if you have evidence, produce it, arrest her, indict her, try her, and if guilty lock her up.

kind of ironic that the above is exactly what is going to happen to trump and his sons, and his son in law.

Ouch. Trump Jr knew through email that the info he was to see in that meeting came from the Russian government which was trying to help Trump.

I dont say this lightly, but, ouch...,

Could go either way, as you damn well know while you pretend not to. The public hearing nothing on the impeachment proceedings thus far is neither an indication of a smoking gun nor the absence of one.
