Why aren't these hearings public? I know there is stuff the public can't hear but can't they just have that part of the hearing behind closed doors later in the day or something?

The dems do not want the witnesses to be able to coordinate testimony.

I believe the first time, average support for impeachment is now over 50% on 538. It has jumped over 10% since the Ukraine story hit on 9/19:

It's more like 32.  Probably less.

39% seems right. 32% would be the absolute lowest it will go. That 7% are rational minded folks who know trump is garbage, but since they’re benefitting economically, they don’t care. If the economy tanks, he’ll lose that 7%.

Lol...I mean.....just looking for a lone bright spot in an increasingly receding economy. I was logging 60-70 hour weeks consistently. For several months now, I've been relegated to 40 (and an occasional 48) hour work week. That's tanking.

Ummmm, I not sure I fell real comfortable in a place where 39% (or even 32!) give this man a thumbs up.  I mean, isn't that kind of scary?  One out of three people approve of an incompetent, off-the-deep-end, inarticulate, loathsome, noisome,  repugnant buffoon?

How did we get here?  What is this place?

That % of people get all their 'news' from Fox, Breitbart, Rush and the insane right internet and radio full of conspiracy theories.

They actually revel in their ignorance.  They carry it with a badge of honor and have 0 interest in learning beyond their sphere of influence.

We’re on to the next phase, which is “yeah, we did, but so what, everyone does” right on schedule.
