Pence isn’t reelectable, is at least capable of speaking in full paragraphs and isn’t putin on the ritz’s boy. A democrat house can keep the check on him until he’s out. At this point, I almost prefer Pence.

he scared me at first, and he still does. I'm not sure if he'd be better or not. He certainly wouldn't be able to rile up the idiots like Trump does, but he just may fly under the radar and pull some truly dastardly shit.

Handmaid's Tale comes to mind
Ugh.....that’s a scary thought.
I can't say I understand this line of thought, nor all the protests that use that theme as though they're making a really direct point about something. What exactly from Handmaid's Tale are people worried about becoming a reality? Because I really don't think the part about women losing all their rights and the US becoming a true theocracy seems even remotely possible, even if Pence did become POTUS for a couple years. And Remember, there is one very important factor in that story that is the key to the whole thing: fertility dropped to nearly zero. Not only that, but the government in that story came to be via a complete dismantling of the existing system via a coup, and that's obviously not happening just because Pence is POTUS, lol. I understand there are some parallels that we could look at with The Handmaid's Tale, but none anywhere near as direct so that Pence should increase any loosely related concerns, and I'm getting the impression that people are thinking about it a lot more literally than what I'm talking about. Anyway, sorry, just my perspective as a massive Margaret Atwood fan, lol. You should all read her Oryx and Crake Trilogy. Those stories probably present a way more realistic possible future!

Nice to see that you're really all about fairness and equity when the punishment should fit the "crime."
Aitan Goelman, Strzok's attorney, said FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich ordered the agent's termination on Friday. Goelman said that the deputy director's decision comes after the head of the office that normally handles disciplinary actions decided Strzok should instead face a demotion and 60-day suspension.
"The decision to fire Special Agent Strzok is not only a departure from typical Bureau practice, but also contradicts (FBI) Director (Christopher) Wray's testimony to Congress and his assurances that the FBI intended to follow its regular process in this and all personnel matters," Goelman said in his statement.
Prosecution rest its case? Big news drop coming? Team Trump Treason indictments being served? FBI raids for Team Mueller taking place? Look 3D is back! And he's busy.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2016-217
Washington D.C., Oct. 14, 2016 —
The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Melissa Hodgman has been named Associate Director in the SEC’s Enforcement Division. Ms. Hodgman succeeds Stephen L. Cohen, who left the SEC in June.
Ms. Hodgman began working in the Enforcement Division in 2008 as a staff attorney. She joined the Market Abuse Unit in 2010 and was promoted to Assistant Director in 2012.
Ms. Hodgman has investigated or supervised dozens of enforcement recommendations spanning a variety of misconduct, including:
Fraud charges against a Wall Street CEO and his company, family members, and business associates accused of secretly obtaining control and manipulating the stock of Chinese companies they were purportedly guiding through the process of raising capital and becoming publicly-traded in the United States.
Ms. Hodgman has led the Enforcement Division’s Cross-Border Working Group, which provides expertise and assistance of matters with international actors and implications. Ms. Hodgman also co-founded and served as the enforcement representative on the Chair’s Attorney Honors Program, and is a member of the Enforcement Division’s hiring committee at its Washington D.C. headquarters.
“Melissa has supervised and investigated a broad range of noteworthy and first-of-their-kind cases across the spectrum of the securities industry and involving misconduct located around the world,” said Andrew J. Ceresney, Director of the SEC’s Enforcement Division. “She has distinguished herself with her excellent judgment and creativity, and I am pleased to have her join the senior ranks of the Enforcement Division.”
Ms. Hodgman said, “I am honored by this appointment and look forward to continuing our tradition of pursuing tough but fair enforcement actions in complex and cutting-edge cases, especially matters involving cross-border issues and efforts to hold gatekeepers accountable for breaches of their professional standards.”
Before joining the SEC staff, Ms. Hodgman worked as an associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in Washington. Ms. Hodgman earned her masters of law with distinction in securities and financial regulation in 2007 from Georgetown University Law Center, her law degree with high honors from Georgetown University Law Center in 1994, and her bachelor of science degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1990. Ms. Hodgman received the Ellen B. Ross Award as well as an SEC Chairman’s Award in 2010.
