NOOOOOOO! How awesome, he is just deliverin, show after show after show, each one special, each one different, each one a sledge hammer of emotions, these songs THESE SONGS HE SINGS!
omg, of course he broke that out for all beautiful ladies of Santa Barbara!
Epic tour. Epic.
::raises hand::
TYAAM ... sigh. Fence. Grass. Greener... head caught in barbwire, ouch.
Uh, well ... you get Lukin! (Or was that for me?!?!?)
:-P JUST KIDDING! Satellite, satellite of course....
Yes, "Driftin'" was played. "Around the Bend" opened. Also played:
Millworker
Dead Man
Society
Setting Forth
Rise
You're True
Forever Young
You've got to Hide Your Love Away
Porch
Lukin!
Yeah Ben played "No More" w/Ed.
BEN!?!?! That could mean ... indifference? :: shivers ::
Not sure if Walking the Cow was played or not.
I like both versions!
like a zipline?
oh i bet he played esta bien too.....
Huh! No just the jet pack in Berkeley, and he rode a surf board in at Santa Cruz carried by Liam and EJ.... funny nobody mentioned that...
Funny, my notes say it was Avril's "Girlfriend"
Nope, we're having more fun making shit up!
Looking over sets so far, Van1's gem is "Won't Back Down."
Van2 got no special love, looks like everything played there was repeated in the Bay Area? Kinda ditto for SC, cept u know, the song written for SC debuted. (and then repeated at Berk2)
Berk1 - Satellite, Parting Ways, Growin Up
Berk2 - nevermind...
Throw Your Arms Around Me .... sigh.
He opened by playing a piano interlude on the side rafters. Once everyone spotted where he was they dropped a rope and then he slid down it. The set started the same with Walking the Cow, Around the Bend, I Am Mine. He played Throw Your Arms Around Me and he did Your Magesty by the Beatles to prove that short songs are still good songs. I Won't Back Down was a personal highlight for me.
Porch closed the first set and it rocked.
The first encore was society, lukin, and no more with Ben Harper.
He closed with Hard Sun with Liam Finn, the chick that plays with Liam Finn, and Ben Harper on Vocals only.
Ben Harper looked really baked and Eddie commented that someone was on a smoke break when he was looking for him to play no more.
He also mentioned that our sing alongs were up there with the last show at Berkley so good job SB!
Now I'm going to finish my beer, smoke a bowl, and go to sleep.

He plays piano too?!?!!? Drums -- Liam's really rubbing off on him!
I'm not an expert or anything but it didn't sound like it was his first time stroking the keys. Boom must have taught him some things.
