    hulu and sling have a package that includes local for 40.

    will need to look into original programming before I sign up.

    hulu has a show called castle rock thats been recommended to me.

    Cut my cable several months ago and haven't looked back. Looked up instructions to jailbreak my Firestick and decided I had no clue how to follow them. I use an antenna for local channels and I stream Netflix, Amazon (only bc I have Amazon Prime although getting ready to cancel that) and Sling tv. My Sling package is around $26/month.  The only thing I can't seem to get is Nickelodeon for my daughter. I get Nick Jr through Sling but not Nickelodeon. I heard you can stream it on Roku but not Firestick. I'm sure there is a way to do it on Firestick, but so far cannot figure it out.

    cut it, sort of. downgraded to basic. which local channels only. allowed me to keep internet unlimited data and have local channels for the price I used to pay for bundled internet

    using the kodi app and installed titanium build. seems to have most eveything we watch.

    install info can be found on the kodi website. several other builds available. would be interested in comparing notes between the various builds. they show limine 6 different ones.

    virtually all the stations I could watch via the fire tv side, REQUIRE A FUCKING CABLE SUBSCRIPTION. WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT THEN IS THIS SHIT.

    I downgraded to just basic cable some time ago. I hesitate in cutting cable altogether because I just like the easy access to the local news, as well as a few network shows that I'm dedicated to... Although I think now they stream all those shows on their network websites now anyway, but that's not ideal because they usually lock all but the most recent episode aired, so you can't use it like a PVR or anything. I need to be able to record the shows and binge watch them when I'm able... Sure I could do that illegally, but... I dunno, I don't mind stReaming unauthorized material once in a while when I can't get it from my paid platforms, but I don't want to make it a regular routine either. Someone's got to pay for this shit!
