Second, Schiff is not saying anything specific because he considers it classified. Nunes may have released classified information today. Ron Wyden (D-WA, Senate IC) basically said so. What Schiff said today which is VERY different than even Sunday, is that there is MORE than just circumstantial evidence. On Sunday he stressed that it was just circumstantial. I agree. It makes it more likely that Nunes will have to agree to an independent prosecutor because he may have to recuse himself. We have now had headlines declaring "no wire tapping" and are about to get evidence of surveillance. It is a win when the #resistance loses. Follow that with the prosecution of leakers which Comey said he takes very seriously and that those who did so are subject to 10 years in prison. There is something illegal about leaking, which is technically what Nunes did today.
If you want to get technical about it ...
At any rate, this is the supposed head of an investigation informing the chief suspect in that investigation of what might be coming down the pike before even informing other members of the investigative team. Not a good look, and will almost certainly result in an independent investigator being assigned.
Some people have speculated Nunes pulled this stunt in order to have the albatross of an investigation taken out of his hands, while simultaneously pretending to be trying to help Trump. I don't think he's that smart, frankly.everybody wants the most they can possibly get
