No, it’s paper backed. He uses all archival materials and methods so it can be reversed at any time. Some thinker stock items can be gel sized, (no backing) if they aren’t missing any paper. I got this one paper backed because the borders were slightly trimmed and needed to be replaced.

Looks like the colour faded and some of the text at the bottom faded, or is that just the photo?

Just the photo, plus it is inside a plastic sleeve in the photo post restoration. I kept it in the packing because I sent it to an auction house

1998 Knoxville Ames - bought this a few years back in hopes of restoring (my first PJ show)...today I received it back and am very happy with Mario’s work.  Thank you @riley540 for the recommendation.   Saving up now to properly frame.

That’s an amazing transformation!  It looks fantastic.  Can we be nosy and ask how much it cost?

Mario is a wizard!!! No idea how he does it. He’s the only person I use. Price isn’t bad with him either!

$235 for the complete overhaul plus shipping - gel backing method; there was a cheaper option (paper backed), but Mario recommended the gel method for concert posters and I am happy with my results.  $261.13 out the door - delivered two days after completion mailed flat and securely packaged.  Took about two months total to complete as I was not in a rush and surmise I caught him at a busy time.  Cost is always going to depend on the work required, so please consider that a ballpark estimate and individual results may vary.  In this case, cost was sent upfront after my delivery and his inspection with my choice of restoration method and option to accept or not.

Awesome.  Thanks for taking the time to explain the process.  =)

Mario is one of the main movie poster restorers for the big auction houses. So he gets super booked up around March, June, and October.

Ive had a couple times where it was a 2 week turn around. And a couple times that were 3 months.
