Welcome back Nancy !! You've been away for too long
I absolutely love the original Marley version of that song and that is certainly an interesting and way different version. Do you know much Matisyahu? I've only heard the few songs that have had radio play but always wanted to dive a little deeper into his collection. He's just so unique.
Thank you for playing a song with "cover" in the title bc it brought me back to this oldie that I haven't thought of in years!
Hello, it's good to be here. . I've got some health issues going on so I'll be on and off for a while.
Matisyahu came on my radar with Sublime and Dirty Heads and Slightly Stoopid and such as I've been making a playlist - I know a couple of his songs but only just starting to listen to some stuff. Marley owns that song for sure, but this version had popped up on Spotify so this is all about experiencing music and not judging, or it's supposed to be. Glad you got to play your song!

@tempo_n_groove I know - I'm extra sensitive right now I suppose. Sorry for blowing up @SmallestOceans Thanks. Didn't mean to blow up.
Waiting on results from a CT lung scan I finally got yesterday and I'm petrified. I could call but I don't have the balls. And if that goes well, sinking feeling, I've got more fun crap lined up so I'll keep my panic subdued as much as possible. Right now I don't know anything, don't know if I will in 5 minutes. And really need to find positive energy somewhere. So I came here. (Reading the American Cancer Society description was not a good move).
So I'll be up and down for awhile. Hopefully more up. Please, please.
This song came out, or I was aware of it, at this exact time of year - my dad died unexpectedly, I got divorced, I got sober and I'd just met my son's future father who seemed to be AMAZING (HA!), so this song really spoke to feelings about missing my dad and talks I'd have with him in my head and the real hope I had for a good future with someone who turned out to not be who they seemed to be.
Still brings me back to sitting on a swing alone, in the middle of nowhere in rural Jersey.

Try to stay positive Nancy, i’m sure most of those scans come back negative. Let us know how it goes. My mother just had a thyroid biopsy that came back negative. Sending {{vibes}} your way. I’ve had a ton of anxiety as well lately. Just have to find a way to grind thru somehow is the only way that works for me.
Here’s the first song released from the new Trey side project. First show of the tour is tonight and the album comes out next week. The project is called Ghosts of the Forest.

I'm stuck in your message. I tried to sign up for Mixlr with FB, wouldn't let me and then I made an account and when I went to confirm there was no body in the message to click on so my security software will not let me join Mixlr. Sounds like they're putting on a hell of a show since I can see all the messages without the music. Enjoy the show zman!!!
The new Trey sounds AMAZING!
And thanks for the vibes - my scan came back clear. Gonna have to get used to them - every 6 months. Just part of getting older and being responsible - but it can be scary sometimes.
Wish I could hear the show - I really like the direction that song is taking!

That's right, I called you out on a message board, lol.
Well I've replied and you get to enjoy my lengthy replies. I am incapable of using twitter because of the short word count so enjoy my ramblings!! {EV has nothing on me when it comes to ramblings).
My first messageboard call out - kind of exciting.
BAD ASS when this song plays during the ending credits in “The Cable Guy”. First time I heard it I was thinking it was some long lost Alice in Chains?! But no, just solo Jerry. \m/

My first 10 or so concerts were all Prog artists, I saw Wakeman's wizardry many times. But I never saw ELP, don't know why. This video is from 1978 which is the year I went to my first concert. They are one of my fave bands, Tarkus is my fave ELP album. I wish I could go back in time and just see them once.
Emerson took his life because he could no longer play as masterfully as he once did and felt there was no reason to live, which is so sad. And Lake died from illness in the past 2 years. So they are gone, at least we have the music forever. I was a Prog freak, still am, have to be in a certain mood. The Prog keyboards just blow me away.
This was how they closed out their concerts for a long time.
Saw this at a looong Live Aid Party, July 13, 1985 (London & Philly) Was only able to get through to donate during Led Zep reunion, so I have a Live Aid T-Shirt, tucked away with some others.
U2 had great albums 1980-1990, then they lost the magic, IMO

I don't know if you are trying to be hurtful and judgemental or you just don't realize it. I come here to have fun, not to be judged.
Might as well be the AMT.
Peace out folks.
