    WALLACE:  Mr. President, when you say what you’ve just said, when Josh Earnest said, as he did -- your spokesman -- in January, the information from the Justice Department is she’s not a target, some people I think are worried whether or not -- the decision whether or not, how to handle the case, will be made on political grounds, not legal grounds.  

    Can you guarantee to the American people, can you direct the Justice Department to say, "Hillary Clinton will be treated -- as the evidence goes, she will not be in any way protected."

    OBAMA:  I can guarantee that.  And I can guarantee that, not because I give Attorney General Lynch a directive, that is institutionally how we have always operated.  

    I do not talk to the Attorney General about pending investigations.  I do not talk to FBI directors about pending investigations.  We have a strict line, and always have maintained it, previous president.

    OBAMA:  I guarantee that there is no political influence in any investigation conducted by the Justice Department, or the FBI, not just in this case, but in any case.

    Which of the 3 agencys would be most proficient in "cyber incidents", CIA FBI or NSA? I'm not sure, I would rank them 1. NSA 2. CIA  3. FBI. Regardless, why did the NSA only have moderate confidence in the report as opposed to the FBI and CIA who had high confidence? The NSA knows when you and I last made a bowel movement and which paper we wipe with. The have every text, every email and every phone call of literally everyone on the continent.

    Here is what the RussiaRussiaRussia-gaters erroneously morph together, that Russia attempting to "influence" and "meddle" (whatever that means) in the election (which is apparent and not new to 2016) whith Trump colluding with Putin and Russia. Russia has been interfering and meddling in elections all the way back when the 80s called and wanted their foreign policy back, nothing new. Have be become more susceptible to hacking, of course, blame the internet, blame computers, blame an outdated state by state county by county election system.
    At this point making the jump from Russia interference/meddling to Trump collusion is a loooooooooooooooooooooooong leap. I'm still waiting for the evidence of Trump Putin/Russia collusion.....

    • The department's invitation was "highly unusual," one source said, since the texts are the subject of an ongoing investigation by its inspector general.

    The IG cannot prosecute so what they have done is selectively release the findings, check the timing of what has been released so far

    You negate to acknowledge the fact that foreign intelligence agencies picked up Trump associates communicating with known Russian foreign intelligence assets in 2015. The Obama Administration's DOJ deliberately moved slowly realizing the sensitive nature of the intel and the ramifications. By the time these texts were typed, those agents may very well have known what a treasonous traitor Team Trump Treason was and is. You have no idea how people who devote their life to serving and protecting their country feel when shit like this comes to light. However, those texts and their feelings don't negate the facts. The facts that will come out in a thorough and far reaching investigation with a jury of their peers handing down indictments and a jury of their peers handing down convictions, if the evidence warrants them. Of this I'm sure. And yes, it'll be bigger than Watergate. Much bigger.
