Paid $80 at the merch booth for an EV signed 2012 El Paso poster. Ugly piece by Kozik, but lucky to have a signed poster from my hometown show!

I picked up the two from Orlando signed by Ed that year and they charged $125 each, if I remember correctly.

275 Tool band signed poster from Rivers Edge Festival in Minny.

Unframed and just sitting in my attaché.

I thought I got fleeced... holy cow... some lunatics have paid dearly for posters. Impressive!

Same deal, First 10 people in line.
The 10 of us waited for 9-10h outside the bob Carr for these posters. We even had a pizza or two delivered when we got hungry lol.

$1,000 when the ebeans average was $300. Sold later for a decent gain so not a bad purchase.

It was Eddies solo tour. 10 posters signed by ed, not numberd just signed. The money was donated to a charity. Don't remember which charity it was.

The more worrying question is how much a person has spent in total :/

    Exactly.

I mean, with all due respect to someone who drops $2,000 on a '00 Chicago, there have been complete PJ poster collections bought for $50,000. Not to mention entire collections in general probably worth at least $50,000-$100,000.

What's truly remarkable is just how fortunate the collector community of this band has been thanks to the mainstream commercial rise of the Internet timing up just about perfectly with the band's career arc. Had it not been in place none of these acquisitions would have been possible.
To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

Rosemont/Chicago 2000. It would be nice to have back but at the end of the day it isn't a legit poster.

I still don't understand how some posters are worth a lot and others are not. An artist signed Salt Lake City 2009 poster (on white paper) sold for $45 on Ebay recently. This poster is a top 10 poster post 2003 and it goes for $45. People want to debate whether the New Orleans 2016 (or insert any number of recent posters) poster is good or not, and we got one of the all-time greats selling for less than cost. Crazy.

You should actually wrap the poster around the frame to protect it since the frame is more valuable.

I got the impression that the El Paso show was the first stop on the tour with signed posters, so I guess we lucked out with the $80 price tag. Nobody saw it coming either, so nobody was lined up for 'em. Pretty sure the funds went to Heal EB.

i've never bought a poster unless i was at the show. i missing a few (hartford 2006, 2008, 2013) but i won't pay a ton for them. on the other hand i did pay $250/ticket to see TOTD in philly and earlier this year i saw PJ20 on color vinyl in a record store for $400. i'd never really seen it much under $1000 at the time so i said 'f it' and went for it. i collect a lot of vinyl and usually on the expensive side. but this was the most i've paid for a record by about $100. ha!
